We must pay a shop to inspect our vehicles. The inspection is standard and the same at all shops although the price is not. They check everything, and your vehicles emissions equipment must be as it was when it was built. So if you don't have it your ok, if you have it and remove it , then its no longer registerable until its replaced. I suppose if you could hide it like a dumby system in its place, you may get away with it . Most likely its the 500 to the inspector that gets them the pass. Or your buddy is the mechanic and doesn't mind risking his license. THis is of course only for vehicles over 8200kg. All others don't need inspection or sticker on the window to get insurance. I even insure as a personal vehicle, for rv hauling only, and I still have to have the commercial inspection every year. The heavy guys are every 6 months.
