I needed sustinance since I’d been running solid since 5:30 am

2150 mg of salty heart attack in a bag....

Combined the two today.

sweet potato has been cooking for a couple hours and is done already.

got the bacon wrapped pork yesterday at kwik trip 2/$4.



Lunch and time for an 8/2 split.

Made a road version of cottage pie. Others call it shepherds pie.

some hamburger I brown at home and freeze in 4 oz portions after cooking. 5 oz about before cooking and use 80% lean.

an individual serving peas & carrots.

an individual instance mashed potatoes.

Let’s eat…

I'd love some of mom's Shepard's Pie right now. She was a Brit and made it to old world standards. Been about 7 years now. I can't even come close.

drain the veggies into the mashed potatoes when making shepherds pie.

Sure if this would have been grilled or crusted. Coming out of the lunch box, it’s soft and chewy.

I’ll be having this one tonight with a potato. Need to find more butter though. Used the last of it last night and didn’t have enough for it.

I got these at Kwik Trip when I left the house two weeks ago. Tossed them into the headache rack and froze them, they’ve been in the freezer on the truck since.

These were on sale when I was up in Carlton.

Makes for a good fridge filler.

Decided to make the steaks I got for 5/$10 from kwiktrip.

90 minutes with two containers of peas and carrots, do not drain, one veggie cup of rice and one veggie cup of minute rice.

Tender enough to cut it with a plastic fork.


Zero clean up.

Believe it or not, that’s a 5 oz steak.

Like they tell you on the package. 5oz. precooked weight. After cooking, well, the scale doesn't read that low.

Looks good to me though.

Sometimes the packages say up to 10% orlf weight a "Brine" soulution if ya read the Fine Print on package..

That said Don't give @mndriver too hard of a time because here in the Midwest the Kwik/Trip or Kwik/Stars in Iowa are places usually with Truck Parking and sell a half line of groceries too
