Life in Sector 7 G.

I loaded/unloaded planes. Sometimes Worked in the baggage room. I did the marshaling in and push-backs of planes off the gate. I did de-icing.
That was commercial passenger jets.

At another company I did towing and fueling. That was for privately owned jets and props. One of our customers were the Riechmann brothers, among others.
Jesus you did pretty much everything.

That's badass.

I was doing great on my weight loss goals all week, veggies and chicken breasts.

I felt lighter but alas, 'tis the weekend and therefore I shall accordingly indulge in beer and pizza.
I have a theory...

After that week of cleaning up in the tornado disaster zone I thought I lost weight. After the exhaustion & muscle soreness subsided, I felt like I was lighter. More energetic, etc.

Turns out that I didn't lose weight, I gained muscle. I might have burned off some fat and replaced it with muscle, but I had a doctor's appointment to get a tetanus shot because I was due anyway and I'd scraped myself up quite a bit.

My weight hadn't changed since my previous appointment.

But gaining muscle made me FEEL LIKE I lost weight, simply because it was easier to move around.

It's like this... Put a car on a trailer and tow it around with a 6 cylinder half ton pickup... Then switch to a 1 ton diesel. The car on the trailer didn't get any lighter, but it's easier to pull around with a more powerful truck.

(I'm not saying I turned myself from a 6 cylinder into a diesel, that's just an exaggerated metaphorical thing.. 😄)

I sorta feel like that after moving around that heavy ass 5th wheel. Lifting a beer is like, nothing.

At the car wash they have a guy that guides you on to the track. Is this for blind people?
Honestly the car wash track should be part of the test to get your license. I mean damn. If you can't line up your wheels on a car wash track, you probably should not be driving.

I haven't seen a tracked car wash in ages. The ones around here you just drive in and stop when it says to. Then you pull out when it says to. And you have to drive all paranoid about your timing under the dryer. Too slow and it stops before your ass is dry. Too fast and there's lots of time left and it didn't really dry your car.

We have those but I feel like they don't do as good of a job.

There is that thing about the dryer and trying to time it just right. The track car wash does the timing. It's not perfect of course.

But I wonder if the fixed car washes couldn't add a dryer that goes around your car with near perfect drying time?
