Life in Sector 7 G.

I loaded/unloaded planes. Sometimes Worked in the baggage room. I did the marshaling in and push-backs of planes off the gate. I did de-icing.
That was commercial passenger jets.

At another company I did towing and fueling. That was for privately owned jets and props. One of our customers were the Riechmann brothers, among others.
Jesus you did pretty much everything.

That's badass.

I was doing great on my weight loss goals all week, veggies and chicken breasts.

I felt lighter but alas, 'tis the weekend and therefore I shall accordingly indulge in beer and pizza.
I have a theory...

After that week of cleaning up in the tornado disaster zone I thought I lost weight. After the exhaustion & muscle soreness subsided, I felt like I was lighter. More energetic, etc.

Turns out that I didn't lose weight, I gained muscle. I might have burned off some fat and replaced it with muscle, but I had a doctor's appointment to get a tetanus shot because I was due anyway and I'd scraped myself up quite a bit.

My weight hadn't changed since my previous appointment.

But gaining muscle made me FEEL LIKE I lost weight, simply because it was easier to move around.

It's like this... Put a car on a trailer and tow it around with a 6 cylinder half ton pickup... Then switch to a 1 ton diesel. The car on the trailer didn't get any lighter, but it's easier to pull around with a more powerful truck.

(I'm not saying I turned myself from a 6 cylinder into a diesel, that's just an exaggerated metaphorical thing.. 😄)

I sorta feel like that after moving around that heavy ass 5th wheel. Lifting a beer is like, nothing.
