Wouldn’t matter if it was 3 in the morning. Last time I tried to skate thru in the dark hours some drunk hit the wall took out two other cars and a rig. Had the whole mess blocked. ATL is never good. If I make it from 20 to 85 in less than 2 hours I consider it a success.

My worst day ever was when I had a drop on the west side of Atlanta and another drop on the east side of Atlanta and then my backhaul was on the west side of Atlanta.
Dispatch must have been laughing their asses off

I have to say I am not thrilled with the edit to my thread title. When I created the thread it actually said the word shit, I knew I could not do that so I replaced it with four asterisks. I have never heard anyone say now driver this here ain't no bullcrap.

My worst day ever was when I had a drop on the west side of Atlanta and another drop on the east side of Atlanta and then my backhaul was on the west side of Atlanta.
Dispatch must have been laughing their asses off

Your place doesnt look nearly the "Disaster" of Menards Drop n Hook yard.

To be FAIR at Eau Claire Motherland them guys were driving old 90s era Day Cabs ..

Just a mudhole "no paving" just DIRT...

and trailers from 20 / 30 different carriers dropped every which way..

Id sneak in about 3/4 am and just drop out infront get my Security Shack Stamp..

Welp @Rigjockey that only "worked" up until Menards "invested" into 2 or 3 new Gates..

Only problem with Menards was they didnt know the already "established" gates ...

So they gotta Call Around even "more" depending upon your load

If you ever see black KWs there pulling flats and hauling slabs.....I used to work for them. Eau Claire was one of my most gravy delieveries. All the poor door swingers there looked like they wanted to suck start a shotgun

Welp some of em are really "nice" people..

Others are just $9 an hour "Trainees" who might be Good at "Heart" just havent been there long enough to figure out such a "convoulted" system

Then again 4 ..$9/ $10 an hour ya aint gonna get the Best n Brightest either

This is why I never had one. By the time I noticed everyone had a "20 thread" and gathered the concept of a "20 thread" I wasn't OTR. Why have a 20 thread when my 20 is static? And who wants to read it anyway?

last night going it ,it was ok.We got to our drop around 10:30 pm
I got unloaded and out around 8:45 am
we got lucky,traffic moved right along both times
but still,Atlanta sucks

To be "fair" if ya just going somewhere off 285 aint bad..

Atleast theyve made the 285 "Houston" style 5/6 lanes each side..actuality 8 or 10 but that STUPID Carpool Lanes..

Even Wash DC is "smart" enough durimg Rush Hour to "Signal" Trucks into the CAR-Pool lanes during RUSH HOUR..

My guess is only because so many "Politicians" live there and NO WAY some Senators LIMO is gonna be STUCK on 495
