Let's Rant About Slow Trucks

My disclaimer: That does not apply in Ontario, I don't give a **** if four wheelers sit behind a slow moving truck all day long. They thought limiting trucks to 65MPH was a good idea. Now deal with it! They elected this jack-ass and his crew that limited trucks to 65 MPH now deal with it. Carefull what you wish for.lol

I'm with you 100% on this. No matter where it is, when I am running in a split speed limit area and have to pass a slower rig, I never go more than 1 or 2 mph over the limit.

Even if it takes 10 miles to get passed the other traffic.

I have often been amused by those who determine who is a "good" or "bad" driver based entirely on whose equipment the driver operates or the speeds at which such equipment is governed. :coocoo:

Exactly. Give me better pay, benefits, home time and I will drive 55mph with any name on the door.

I-90 going into and coming out of Chicago... gotta love it! I do that one with a smile!

I'll see your Swift and raise you a Knight. This "professional driver" was about 5 miles from my shop so I had to take a pic.

I have been sideswiped and forced into a guardrail on a bridge by a Knight and another one hit the back corner of my trailer with the tandems of his trailer while setting up for a blind backup.

I cringe and shudder anytime one even gets within a half mile of me.

In an 11 hour day at 69 mph you should be able to run 759 miles.

yeah but they DOT likes to see you log 3 mph UNDER the posted speed limit....

I have run 811 miles legally in one day across I-10 in Texas....Logged it that way too and never heard a thing from the "log girl".

see...like this...73.72 mph avg.....unless of course he did it in 10 hrs...which i am guessing YOU WOULD have heard from the log girl...

It doesn't matter how fast you go, you are going to be in somebody's way. I'm the only perfect driver out here. The rest of you have a ways to go.

Those are the guys who will be at orientation at Swift next week.

:rolllaugh:

we have driven triple digit trks...and have driven a 62 mph truck... cant tell you how many times we were almost rear ended when in that 62 mph trk....bozos flying up and waiting til the last minute to get out...like they dont see you or realize you are there....our trk we drive now is set at 78....thats fast enough to get a way from MOST, NOT ALL, but most of the idiots...and we can make good time....ANY slow vehicle truck or car is a hazard IMO...we personally log 67 in a 75 mph state....looks better to the dot...lol

Well he was TRYING to make a U turn.....in the ditch......while it was raining. What he was actually doing was talking on his phone probably feeding someone an amazing excuse as to what happened.

Aint that nice.......you went back to pull him out of the mud.......with your 5/8th coil chains. :leer:
