Let's Argue About Motorcycles

Re: Increased levels of enforcement, and where...

Laugh all you want.

It is a KZ 1000 Police bike. It will out accelerate and out handle a Harley any day. Harley's are heavy cruisers and don't really get rolling until they get some speed up. The inline twin cam four banger is going to wind up quick, and still have plenty left at the top end. The bike itself is lighter and more nimble, and will handle way better than a Harley.

Even a Buell can't compete with this bike. And they quit making the Buell.

Hopefully he doesn't try catching a liquid cooled 1000cc bike in the desert, I'd bet after a few miles he overheats thanks to saving the $$ and going with air cooling!

A spinning propeller... wait... what's the prize? I wanna' know what the prize is before I submit my answer.

I wrote about my Triumph. I kept trying to shift gears with the foot brake. Strange machine.

The prize comittee will contact you shortly for delivery info on your kewpie doll.

What the hell is a kewpie doll anyway?

And did I post that about the logo before? I think I did. Not saying you didn't know that already...but I think I may have posted it...

BMW = Bavarian Motor Works?? Something like that. I keep getting it confused with BSA (British Small Arms) that made guns before they made crappy motorcycles.

My dad had a BSA before I was born. It looks cool in the pictures but he said it was the biggest pile of junk he's ever owned

Its a representation of the flag of Bavaria. The propeller thing is a myth.

Excerpt from BMW - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The circular blue and white BMW logo or roundel is portrayed by BMW as the movement of an aircraft propeller, to signify the white blades cutting through the blue sky – an interpretation that BMW adopted for convenience in 1929, twelve years after the roundel was created. The emblem evolved from the circular Rapp Motorenwerke company logo, from which the BMW company grew, combined with the blue and white colours of the flag of Bavaria, reversed to produce the BMW roundel. However, the origin of the logo being based on the movement of a propeller is in dispute, according to an article posted in 2010 by the New York Times, quoting "At the BMW Museum in Munich, Anne Schmidt-Possiwal, explained that the blue-and-white company logo did not represent a spinning propeller, but was meant to show the colours of the Free State of Bavaria."

Re: Increased levels of enforcement, and where...

A BMW? Most BMW's are old geezer bikes. Only someone like my dad would ride one. They're good bikes, mechanically, but they're goofy-looking.

Unless you're talking about this one. I would ride this, if I could just figure out where my belly is supposed to go. The gas tank's in the way.
