OK then. Give me an example of what is so expensive on a BMW that is so much cheaper on a Harley?
The silence here is deafening.

I wrote about my Triumph. I kept trying to shift gears with the foot brake. Strange machine.
Why?

Because it was there?
Not really practical. And I bet it is a bitch in the summer with all the heat those cylinders generate.
Not only that it just looks stupid. Why not just get a bike with a turbine. Now THAT'S a cool looking bike. You better hold on to your.............Well you just better hold on.![]()

A buddy of mine years ago came up with a propane fired rocket that was used on helicopter rotor tips to make them spin faster. He mounted under the banana seat on a sting ray bicycle and strapped a tank on his back. Squeeze a handle and the thing would take off pretty quickly.
Good times.
Gimmie a break...Harley parts aren't exactly cheap.
I had the pleasure of watching this Ricer Bike get beat by this Harley Davidson last Sunday.
I thought about this thread... Yea!! Harley... :bouncy:
Here is just an example of what some of our drivers & OO's ride.View attachment 4419View attachment 4420View attachment 4421View attachment 4422
SWEET! I would like to get a duel sport to take on trails and such. Maybe I should just leave well enough alone.
We are planning a month long ride next year around the end of July. It includes the Grand Canyon, the PCH, Lake Tahoe, Yellowstone National Park and Mt. Rushmore. (I hear there's a rally around there somewhere around then.) It will be about six thousand miles for the trip.

You should also consider Arches/Monument NP as well.
Moab UT. Is a good idea. We will be trying to find out all there is to see and do along that general route before we go so we can plan accordingly. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Hey thanks! I'll make note of that. How far ahead did you reserve your spot at Custer?
SWEET! I would like to get a duel sport to take on trails and such. Maybe I should just leave well enough alone.
When I went to Sturgis a few years ago we stayed at Custer state park you can rent a cabin there for a reasonable price they don't jack the prices up during the rally. If you go to Mount Rushmore go in the evening for the lighting ceremony. Yellowstone also has cabins in the park to rent.
