One of these days I'm gonna do a deep dive into the history of political parties. Not the specific two we've got today, just parties in general, how they formed, why is there a right & left whose general ideologies political parties are based on, etc.
Problem is they only teach this stuff in "political science" and all of the professors are avowed marxists. So to learn about it as I described above, one would have to do all of the research on his own.

I was just thinking that this morning, Back in the day I could jump on here and read new posts for hours.
The crybaby leaving the forum because his politics post got deleted wouldn't see the thread because he doesn't have access to the forum due to the fact his only reason here is to post politics.
I get complaining on here because Google rules me or something, when for the last couple of years I didn't moderate anything and completely left it to you guys to mold the place how ever you seen fit.
So, is it dead because of over moderation or no moderation? Can't have it both ways.
If the one crying about their post being deleted wants to post politics here, then maybe the crybaby can contribute to the heart of the community which happens to be trucking, and access would be allowed very soon in politics.
Lots of forums out here, lots of Facebook groups, find the place that fits you and enjoy it.

the biggest problem was a few years ago when a group from another forum did a hit and run for a few months with the intent of destroying this forum once they moved on I figured things would get back to what it once was, I was wrong!!!

Mike needs to let me make a separate account so that I can post to my own thread and surprise myself with new notifications.
My trucking adventure has basically tapered off as far as the adventurous interesting startup aspects of it go. Now I'm just a robot plugging away and waiting to see what breaks/wears out next.
So there really isn't much to post about.

What is TR like these days? Last time I went there it was too much. Too active, and it's like every thread was full of people answering the same dozen or so questions over & over again. Always rookie topics. Same old topics we've all been over and over before.
Mike wants trucking related content, because, it's a trucking forum. I get that. But how much is there to talk about when literally all of us who are currently active on here have over a decade minimum experience?
Put stuff in box, pull box long ways to other place, unload. I mean that's what trucking is for the overwhelming majority of people in the industry. How can such a mundane industry be interesting enough to keep conversations going on all the time? Emissions control systems, ELDs, which megafleet starter company is the least horrible to work for, etc.
Personally I've been over all these topics in zillions of threads and it just gets old.
But the Facebook trucking groups are just idiotic meme sharing like any other Facebook group.
This has always been a better forum than TR mainly because it's NOT full of rookies advising other rookies.

It’s a garbage profession. Trumps garbage truck was nicer and cleaner than most.
And now the democrats flooding the industry with foreigners that hopefully Trump deports as they’ll work cheap and put American truckers out of work.
Hopefully Mike is out of a job soon to Hector and Jose.
He deserves it for being a bigger p u say than BHW.

I doubt it's changed.
This place is the same few people so it's like hanging out at the local diner or a backyard BBQ.
And we don't necessarily want to spend the whole time talking about work.
Trucking brought us together but that isn't what's always on our minds. It would be absurd for that to be the case.

I came here because it was like a group of friends discussing all subjects in life, not just work. Yes, I wanted to see if everyone's job was just about as miserable as mine was and it was for the most part. The same thing day in and day out. I lurked for about a year before I joined. I'm not sure I was accepted right away but I just kept posting.
But, when you're at home, there are home projects to discuss, cars, trucks, food, movies and whatever else you do in your daily life. Hell, even when Birchy wasn't on a bender talking to himself he was funny in a lot of ways.
That TR group that infiltrated this board only wanted to converse with each other and they got annoying after the first few weeks. There have been a few new people over the last year that started to get into the board, but then dropped off. My own car forum used to be hopping, now it's 2-3 posts a day.
Politics is annoying especially when everyone is on the same page. Add in a different view and it become nothing but insult slinging and name calling. That doesn't make for good reading. Most people on political threads don't have an opinion of their own and just post memes and YT shorts that are just a cobbled together mess to make it look like that's what they are saying
Whatever...I have to go walk the hound in the cool morning air, then make up a huge plate of bacon, eggs and toast!

Not sure why if you think so poorly of the industry that you choose a forum about the industry to come spread your political and bigoted hatred in.
Maybe somebody named Hector or Jose will take my job. If so, I am fine with that because that means they came and bought my company since I don’t work for anyone.
It’s really sad that you would hate people based on where they come from. Seems like mommy didn’t hug you enough as a child and now you are simply a bitter person.
