HUT Sticker Placement

What is the latest information on the placement of this ugly sticker? I know it used to be on the front bumper, near the license plate. That information, however, is from 2012. Are they still requiring this? Or can I put it somewhere like below the driver's door where my IFTA sticker is?

If I don't get it on the truck now, I will lose it just like I lose every HUT sticker that I never put on my truck because I wait until in case I actually go there.

Put it in your permit book so it won't get lost.

Then look at other trucks next time you're walking through a truck stop lot or at some warehouse.

Actually looking for any actual recent information on what they require. Doing what everyone else does in this industry is what ends up costing you way too much money. And the big fleets don't care, they will put it right on the paint and not worry about it. I'm trying to avoid that.

Mine is on this piece of stainless right here. Old pic with bugs but best one I found to show the spot I would be describing. Not sure what the "rules" are though.

Looks like it gets put away until I need it, LOL

The last time I was issued a HUT sticker about 6-7 years ago the directions said, on the front, on the body but not on the bumper.

Hell, I have seen drivers that have it on the drivers door, the passenger door or next to their IFTA sticker.

I have seen the NY state diesel bears sitting at the toll booths on I90 and what they are looking for is the HUT sticker on the FRONT of the truck. I am sure they would give you pass for having it on the bumper but I am sure they would be pissed off having to search all over the truck to find it.

If you are not going there anytime in the near future, Keep it in your permit book and save your paint and re-sale value.
