How many miles did you drive today?

200-400 mile days this week, jumped back on the crazy Amazon Prime train. Been taking empty trailers to Little Rock and Tulsa, then bobtailing back home. Worked out really great each day until today.

Booked a move to Oklahoma City (would have been a 500 mile day), but went to the facility, ended up being a load of empty carts, and the load got cancelled because they didn't have the trailer ready yet. Not a big deal, $175 cancellation fee, and I only drive about 6 miles to the facility.

So, today was a less than 15 mile day.

With the fuel costs flying upward, kind of glad to be running short miles this week.

I drove 40 miles round trip so I could ride 3 miles on the 4 wheeler today.

If this is an indicator what retirement will be like…

Yesterday was one of those good short days, 160 miles and done. Half of it was deadhead.

Deadheaded down to Fort Smith, picked up a load of Dude Wipes at 0900, and unloaded them in Bentonville Arkansas at noon. Done by 1230.

Actually hoped to get an amazon trailer move to stack on that, but nothing materialized there.

Bigger day today, 450 miles to Oklahoma City and back home. Took an Amazon trailer to OKC, bobtailed back.

It’s wild how fast the tech is moving. I had a similar call recently and it’s getting harder to spot the difference. As long as it makes the check-in process faster and doesn't keep me on hold, I guess I can live with the 'scary' side of it.
