Knowing someone does not negate the fact that they are contraband.not if you "know someone".....
Is it a fine or do they throw you jail for being in possession?

Grand Theft Auto isn’t just a video game?
Why does everyone have a probed with Houston. And LA those are two city’s I never have a problem getting around. Atlanta, DC, Baltimore, NYC, Boston, now those are a different tale.Toronto is a **** hole. It makes Houston look like child's play.
Atlanta and DC I will agree with. Never had a problem with Baltimore. Never done NYC or Boston in a truck. Why does everyone have a probed with Houston. And LA those are two city’s I never have a problem getting around. Atlanta, DC, Baltimore, NYC, Boston, now those are a different tale.
I don’t have a problem in Baltimore if I’m not OD and skate thru at 3am Hahahaha!Atlanta and DC I will agree with. Never had a problem with Baltimore. Never done NYC or Boston in a truck.
All I said is Toronto is way worse than Houston.
Well that's the trick isn't it? Get a load at the docks in Philly or Gloucester City NJ, and most days you're going to be dealing with east coast rush hour traffic - instant all afternoon nightmare. Even LA and Houston are easy to deal with at 2AM.I don’t have a problem in Baltimore if I’m not OD and skate thru at 3am Hahahaha!

Yeah no big deal when you have time. Pretty easy to chill out when you've got a sleeper and you take another load when you become available...whenever that might be.I have been in the rush in all these city’s, now Newark, NJ and NYC worse ever rush hour out of anywhere I have ever been. Philly never really had much of a problem, yeah it slows down. 95 is a parking lot at times. But eh it is what it is. In my opinion east coast rush hours are worse than west coast or Midwest rush hours.
I can respect that. But just cuz I gotta bunk doesn’t mean I have truncated time tables also. I avoid what I can when I can. I lose 1/5 of my income for the week if I miss a load. That’s a pretty damn good motivator.Yeah no big deal when you have time. A day cab with a definite all or nothing load plan changes the attitude a little.
No doubt. But you have a contingency. Traffic and delays, while bothersome on the money end, weren't nearly as frustrating when I was regional.I can respect that. That's not exactly how that works. If you get jammed up you could miss your delivery and even your re-load and if that happens on a Friday you are S.O.L. until Monday.Yeah no big deal when you have time. Pretty easy to chill out when you've got a sleeper and you take another load when you become available...whenever that might be.

Yer kinda missing my point. That's not exactly how that works. If you get jammed up you could miss your delivery and even your re-load and if that happens on a Friday you are S.O.L. until Monday.
No not what I’m saying; I’m saying that I haven’t experienced the nightmare traffic in Houston or LA that everyone talks about. I have had close calls with appointments. I delivered a load of spools Monday the forklift operator was locking the door when I pulled up. He stayed to unload it. But had he not I would of essentially lost 300ish bucks on my paycheck.Yer kinda missing my point.
Reg was saying traffic/cities doesn't bother him. That kinda means we're assuming delivery deadlines aren't applicable.
Ugh I didn't say you don't HAVE appointments. They simply weren't part of the discussion. No not what I’m saying; I’m saying that I haven’t experienced the nightmare traffic in Houston or LA that everyone talks about. My point was I need to make a delivery just as urgently as a day cab guy. But my impact is sleeping in the truck and missing a load for the week. Typically y’all have HOS violation to get home which could net you a ticket which could cost you money. Unless your company puts you up at the nearest hotel or whatever for the night then yes then your hosed just like I am.
I can’t run the shit out of anything. It goes 62 that’s it hahaha!Ugh I didn't say you don't HAVE appointments. They simply weren't part of the discussion.
Let's assume delivery is moot. It's done or whatever. Then yeah you got a backup plan ie a bed to avoid HOS violations. So you don't have to worry about "getting back."
With a good trip plan, on-time delivery is rarely a worry. What is a worry is getting the F parked when your 14 is down to nothing.
I don't worry about the money. It'll come. What sucks is having an hour and a half to do 2 hours of work and no choice but to bust your ass and run the guts out of the truck to get it done because the alternative is HOS violations or sitting waiting for dispatch to hm haw around getting two drivers to rescue you or arrange a hotel.
Schneider and US Xpress wouldn't get you a hotel. You'd wait. And wait. And wait.
Some drivers waited 6 hours before someone came and got them.
Me? F that. I'm gonna get home. It happened just yesterday. Ran the **** out of the truck just to get that last bit done.
I can hate shift and do 63 with the pedal as opposed to gentle and 60 with cruise.I can’t run the **** out of anything. It goes 62 that’s it hahaha!
I can get er wound up to 75 on a steep down hill.I can hate shift and do 63 with the pedal as opposed to gentle and 60 with cruise.
Kills my MPGs and overspeed but if I don't do it often my bonus isn't affected.
Beats sitting around for an indeterminate amount of time in a day cab with no extra food.
