Everything I had planted died. The rain drowned them out (rained over 7 days straight) then the sun came out and cooked what was left.

Tomatoes
Hey I noticed your tomatoes are in chicken wire cages. How are you going to get to the tomatoes closer to the ground?
Yeah, I didn't have the tomato cages yet and the plants were getting big.
The chicken wire is only stapled at the bottom once or twice so they open at the top and you can reach in. Then I just use the wire at the top of the cage to reattach it.
They actually seem to be working good, maybe better than conventional cages.

You finally got some squash I see. I may have beat you to it, but my plants have all dried up now. You wouldn't even know i had anything planted there. My potatoes are the only thing that are hanging on (by a thread)

There are 21 here. The seed packet just said "Salad tomatoes". I have since learned that salad tomatoes come in many varieties, up to full size.
The toms in the second picture came from the same pack of seeds. The plants look exactly the same and are growing next to each other in the same dirt.

Yeah, we call them bore bees,a totally different breed.
That is beautiful work, way classier than my low rent flop house.
I just used an old 6x6 I cut down to length with a chain saw and mounted it to an old bird feeder holder.
I drilled two different sized holes to accomodate any plumper bees that need a little extra room.

A few things from my garden. I get about this much every day, plus the beans, okra, and jalapenos are starting to do really well too.

We passed up a bunch of wild raspberry vines/bushes, whatever you'd call them, .. on the way to the fireworks today. There's a jungle alongside some railroad tracks & there's a trail through that jungle. We took the ATV to the fireworks via that trail rather than drive the car or pickup, mainly so we could avoid the cop roadblocks. (Rapidly flickering LED lights on their cars - not good for Mrs. Duck.)
The only problem is we were both wearing shorts and short-sleeved shirts, and the raspberry plants were intertwined with poison ivy. A few years ago I filled a whole 5 gallon bucket in about 2 hours, but a lot of them got smashed on the way home cuz that ATV doesn't ride like a Cadillac.
Tonite's harvest will not be shown, due to farmer's appetite.
There were however, green beans, summer squash. red skin potatoes and a piece of fish on this plate.
Trust me, it was gooooooooooooooooood!
With the addition of a crossbow, there might be venison soon...............all from the garden...........
