I should post this in the women's section. I feel so feminine discussing this, but here goes.
It's rare that I show my soft, emotional side, but while burning leaves today I decided to share this.
I hope nobody calls in on me. Burning is not allowed today because of high winds, and I am flagrantly violating the law.
Only one neighbor is aware of my activities and I think she is cool.
Anyway, I came to the realization that we should share feelings with others whenever we have the opportunity.
I could die within the next 24 hours having not shared something with someone I care about.
A plane could crash on my house this afternoon killing me instantly, or I could get plowed into by a tractor trailer on my way to the store and die a slow and painful death.
Conversely, someone I love or care about could pass away unexpectedly, leaving me wishing I had said something when I had the chance.
Just over two years ago I was stricken with Bell's Palsy. It's not generally painful, but it looks like it's here to stay, leaving me slightly disfigured.
When this first happened, there was only one board member that reached out to me.
I remember his exact words: "Sorry to hear about that. Here, hope this helps."
That member was gonfercoffee(known here as smokestack) and this is what he sent me.

During the time I was on medical leave, it brightened my days.
And the part where the women do that spanking thing really perked me up.
Nowadays, whenever I am engaged in spanking activities, I think of smokestack and the kindness he showed me.
