So in the grand scheme of things we have one lumber DC that is absolutely ridiculous. This company has other locations that aren’t so bad but this one in particular I LOATH going to as every time is a whole trailer of miscellaneous trim board, it’s loaded half assed. It’s spooky to run this thing down the road. Now it’s a light load and I strap the shot outta it but none the less. It’s still sketchy to me. Anywho arrive to pick up a preloaded trailer. Check in at three different places. Go to where the trailer is supposed to be tarped and waiting...now this would be the first time my preload was actually loaded here and it shocked me that they suggested it was tarped. Go to the location not there get sent to the live load area. Found the trailer and to my surprise it’s loaded but half the pallets are hanging 6-8 inches off the side of the deck. Chase down 4 forklift dudes before I get one willing to help. Get it secured and go chase down dudes...make it through another 4 before I get one who’s willing to run the tarp machine. Get the load tarped and roll to check out..computer glitch. Wait for BOL. All in all 4 hours. To pick up a “drop n hook” preloaded trailer.

Well get to the receiving DC 50 minutes check in at 2 different spots pull fold and roll tarps back in, pull securement, put everything ways unload check out and hit the road....50 minutes. WTF is so wrong with the other place. Currently waiting on a shingle load then, heading home. BTW fuck this cold snap.

That is about the situation I would have been in but I said **** it we've come this far really no good spot to flip around yet. Splash a little holy water on the wheel let the power of Christ compel and off we go.
Those are the best! I love the challenge. Haven't lost one yet. We go to a lot of construction sites with heavy windows. Each one is an adventure. I love my job!

Finally made it home about noon today. I don’t appreciate the weather but it’s winter so it is what it is. Picked up my daughters that live in town and went to lunch.
