Deprivation of Rights Under the Color of Law

Err on the side of caution.

There's a lot of Monday morning quarterbacking going on in the media.

Did we err on the side of caution here. So where does that take us to now? And whose to blame?

Pre 9/11 at the airports, were our security measures to strict (erring on the side of caution) or not strict enough. Hmm

4000 lives lost later, I think we know the answer, now.

Yes there will always be Judges and Governers making ?nable decisions, did not take a pandemic to figure that.

Tell you what, I'm just glad I'm not a Governer or judge making pivotal decision like they're doing.

Wondering how many of us would have the guts to stand up for our beliefs in the face of jail.

Or better yet do what those dear souls did on that plane headed for the Whitehouse.

I wouldn’t call it hindsight. If you get away from those who speak to the media, and ignore the polls that are pushed down our throats, I think most of America had this right in their minds from the start.

Where we went wrong was allowing our heads to be filled with nonsense and fear, and ultimately caving to whatever decided we should be doing.

This mistake will cost us long term. It will take time to become public knowledge, but the death toll from the reaction to the virus will far outpace the virus itself. All because we allowed so much of the nation to go broke to the point of bankruptcy.

And I say “we” because the protests should have started the first day a closure order was given across any state. This was handled all wrong and the people never stood up to stop it.

Had what in their minds from the start.

Was it nonsense and fear when this first started? We can sort of say it was now, but that's hindsight.

Most anyone I talked to felt like we had no business closing the economy down. This was from the beginning, not hindsight.

As soon as the shutdowns started, everyone I talk to on a regular basis knew the destruction of the economy and people’s lives would be worse than the virus itself.

You have to look no further than my posts on the forum throughout this pandemic to see my thoughts on the actions being taken.

The virus is bad, I had no problem acknowledging that. Running and hiding from it in our houses was worse, and I said that from day one.

You did not know it. Most say that it was the length of the shut downs not the shutdowns themselves.

What do we do in severe snowstorms. We shut everything down for a day or two.

Yes we should have done a similar thing here.

Should have. (Hindsight).

And what if this virus was truly as deadly as predicted.

What can't be fixed a destroyed life or a destroyed economy.

How many lives were destroyed because of a bad economy?

Ours has at least two.

In the first one, his quarantine bullshit was actually ruled unconstitutional but Governor Lardass is appealing it.
the gooberment is only part of the problem. the real problem is the loons that voted the loonies in

pretty soon you will be able to tell who the conservatives are and who the democrats are based on who's having fun and who is hiding :D

I agree. This is why I applaud the woman for taking a stand.

That said, I'm not going to simply condemn the judge. Most judges would have made the same decision, as we are in uncharted waters as far as current living people go.

There is a reason that this person is the only one to resist an order like this.

One restaurant owner stood up, and was quickly knocked down.

I don't, in any way, agree with the stay at home and business closings that are taking place. I also can't say much about what others are doing because I work in an industry that wasn't shut down.

Lots of people talking crap about what should happen, but not surprisingly, this woman is the only person I know of who stood tall and didn't back down.
i applaud her to for taking a stand.. they need to stop making decisions for others as it's the persons choice if they want to do it or not!!!
