Hey guys my 04 379 has a large sensor in the front bumper what is it? Just got the truck...

If it's a black box looking thing it's radar for collision avoidance/adaptive cruise.

If it's been disabled I would imagine you can just rip it off.

But if it's active it'll probably play hell with your system because it'll be expecting input that doesn't exist.

I know ours spazz and cruise is disabled with a nutso error message when there's a blockage. We can override it and get cruise but the error is still there. Tearing it off when it hasn't been killed off permanently would likely do the same thing.

Yes, and hawks right it’s your forward radar. They can disable remove and change your bumper.
