I bet it's just bacon bits. And probably not real bacon bits, it'll be that artificial crap you see at salad bars. With all the wide variety of stuff I've seen put on ice cream, I'd have to give it the benefit of doubt til I try it.

Actually I can't "picture" the flavor of it right now cuz all I can taste right now is the coffee I just drank.

It actually has a strip of bacon hanging out on the side of the ice cream. Can't say I'd try one even as much as I love bacon.

I had a recipe for spiced pecans (don't remember where I put it). I made them.......the recipe called for karo syrup, salt, and hot pepper. There were some other ingredients but I can't remember them offhand. It didn't sound appetizing but those were the best spiced pecans I have ever eaten. So perhaps the bacon sundae would be along that line......

Sweet and spicy is tasty!

Those Epic Mealtime guys are insane Canadians that are slowly trading off good health for fame and a monthly check from Google (the company that owns Youtube). Their videos are creative, but I wouldn't risk my health for a cheap way to become famous. And on top of that some of those guys are gaining weight like crazy. I've been following their channel every week since they've started...mostly out of boredom and curiosity.

Regarding crazy culinary creations involving bacon in recipes here in the U.S., there were a couple of restaurant chains that have added bacon to milkshakes as an experiment of sorts. Type in "bacon milkshake" in a search bar on Youtube and you'll see many (mostly boring and sleep-inducing) mixed reactions regarding that disgusting drink.

Then there are other fast food restaurants here that top massive amounts of bacon strips on their burgers as if they're going out of style. Ever hear of the "baconator" that Wendy's sells? The whole concept is dumb as hell.

Yes, some people can go overboard with weird culinary creations.

But adding a few strips of bacon to a cheeseburger is great. It adds a new dimension to the flavor of the American classic picnic food. A freshly grilled beef patty, melted cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, mayo, and three or four strips of bacon on a good sourdough bun rank right up there with gastric delights like filet mignon, New York strip and Copper River salmon.

Only in America!
