Anyone get a Covid test.

I got my first one today.

Couple days ago had a headache and a bit of a cough, only lasted a day, never thought for a second it was Covid, then I go to work and overhear a conversation with 2 drivers and one of them says, yeah he’s doing better now. And I’m like who, what? And they say didn’t you hear ? Hear what I ask ?

They then tell me a driver has Covid. And guess what I was sitting next to this guy just a few days prior. Our work computers in the drivers room are too close together. Which I had previously suggested moving but management didn’t lift a finger.

So I’m doing the responsible thing, I informed the boss and I’m on paid leave until I get a negative test.

I kinda think I have it because I’m noticing things taste a bit different, and they say many lose taste, I haven’t completely lost taste but it’s different.

So today I pull into the Walgreens Drive thru they have me hold my insurance card up to the glass and take pics. Then put the test through and they instructed me how to to do it. One swab put it in one nostril twist it twice and hold for 14 seconds. Then put some swab in other nostril and repeat. Then put it in the tube, throw it in a plastic pouch, put it in the labcorb box and then wait 1-2 days for results.

Anyone else go through this ?

I’m not feeling sick but I definitely was a couple days ago, I have no fever. But didn’t check my temp the day I was sick.

So it’s kinda wait and see.

I’m on pins and needles waiting for that result, because some symptoms I have or had, others not at all

Understood. But in my case I had actual symtoms and I’m telling you that weird taste in the throat is unlike anything. Very hard to describe, not overwhelming, not unbearable but definitely noticeable and with my co worker confirmed with Covid I have to take every precaution.

I’m not majorly sick though. Last time I got flu was worse than this.

I know a few people that have had Covid.

Thanks bro. Ultimately I am hoping for a negative test. Ultimately Nobody really knows the long term effects and I’d rather not have to worry about it.

I have had 4 tests freddy all negative only had them because of other hospital matters

Whoa, easy there I don’t want to see this thread get locked. I know we all have strong opinions on Covid, I appreciate all points of view even those I disagree with. I appreciate guys I butted heads with on politics putting it aside and providing good info. And you provided good info.

I find it’s best to gather information less from the media and more from the wisdom of the crowd, when you get a large enough crowd talking about most any topic, it soon it becomes easy to separate good info from bad.

Never been tested, and don’t plan on it. I think my wife probably had it, and probably gave it to me. I’ll never know for sure, and don’t care to know.

I’m just glad to see that it looks like we are now approaching herd immunity, which was supposed to be impossible, that and everyone who wants to be vaccinated will be vaccinated within 2-3 months.

It’s time to move on.

I did went to Dr. with a sinus infection living in the Sacramento valley get them every couple years. Dr said we have to test you arguing didn't work so she tickled my brain with the Qtip and that was that.

Can't trust the tests. Elon musk took 4 at once, 2 neg and 2 pos. There was a doc that supposedly tested 1500 POSITIVE covid tests and found zero covid. All 1500 hundred samples were influenza A or B. Notice how the flu basically dropped to zero. It's all fucking bs

Yeah, her father said she waited to long to go to the doctor when she had the bad reaction. Bad reactions are gonna happen, I remember being in basic training in the Air Force and they’d line us up and give us all the shots and some guys dropped right there. Others got ill afterwards and had to go to sick call. That’s why I’m not scared of the vaccine like so many others are.

One time I felt like ass at home. So I looked into getting a test. Figured "Hell I'll take two weeks off."
My county tests once a week for five hours, and an appointment was needed.

So that didn't work either.

So it's not the whiz bang "just get tested" thing they make it out to be.

I wore my mask at Aldi tonight. It's all gross and dirty. I think it has grease on it from me grabbing it. Definitely some pocket lint and trail mix dust on there. And whatever that dirt is that gets kicked around and lands on everything in my cab. Maybe old corn from like 1992 getting knocked around.
