Air brakes and water

I am real new to trucking and witnessed something what was to me unusual.I seen fast dripping water coming from the brake chamber on a trailer.The entire trailer was dry except the water dripping from with a hole on the bottom on the brake chamber.Where would all this water come from?There was a large pool on the ground just below.Would this be entire failure of that chamber?At what level would this be a safety hazzard?Would this prevent that wheel from having any brakes at all?With that much water would the other brakes be in unsafe condition?

sounds like you need to drain your air tank(s) on the trailer. you should drain the water out every so often

Nowhere near enough info to make any conclusions here . Many possibilities . Could be the chamber had a rust hole in it and had been submerged at a flooded dock . He said only one chamber was dripping .

Thanks rick.No the trailer had not seen any water from any source in many days.It was only one chamber.The hole with water dripping from it was a machined hole.The part that binds the two halfs(front and back where the push rod enters) of the outer shell of the chamber,directly below where the air lines enter through the top, on the bottom side.
