22.5” versus 24.5”

22.5” or 24.5”?

  • I’m a wiener and like short rubber

  • There actually is fuel savings on short rubber, ding dong

  • Tall rubber or no rubber!

  • 24.5” just looks better

  • Who cares

My tire guy doesn’t think I’ll see a difference switching back to 22.5” rubber.
I’m down to 7/32 on the crappiest drives, so maybe I’ll get the rest of the fall out of them, until I put my winter tires on.
I can get 8 22.5” rims for $1000, maybe I’ll go that route and look for used rubber over the winter. I can try running wiener rubber next spring and summer, it’d be interesting to compare.

3.70s and 22.5” wiener rubber seems to be a good match, from what I can read online.

I guess I don’t NEED to run 95 mph :cautious:

24.5 is cooler looking though-;)
