you can always get a 5 gallon pail, (preferably one never used as a toilet) , put in a bag of garden soil, and plant a tomato plant. (more instructions later)As you all know I am a city dweller an have no land to speak of. But this time I put in a valid effort to research allotment gardens. Basically I would be renting some city owned land to grow a garden.
I can't apply for an allotment until the 19th of this month. My predictions will be,
Anywayz , if I get a plot I would like to do some tomatoes, potatoes, peas and onions.
- I forget to apply.
- I will forget that I applied and was granted one.
- I will plant seeds and then forget that I have a garden.
if you have at least one window where the sun comes in for a few hours daily, you're golden. if not, you can buy a simple gooseneck lamp, and use a 100 watt incandescent light bulb. and leave that on for a few hours daily.
container gardening is what "some" city dwellers do.
