SPACE TRUCKING
I've noticed that "Travel Centers" with fast food joints in them tend to have more fuel island squatters. Most of the times I've been held up at a Flying J, the guys have eventually come out carrying heat lamp pizza or something. At Pilots they're carrying a McDonald's bag when they come out.
Is it illegal to break a seal on a trailer that ain't yours? I mean obviously if you steal or tamper with the freight, ... but what about if you were to just break a seal so you could open the door and put a note in there that says "Hopefully this time they didn't check your seal. Next time don't leave your truck on the fuel island".
They got cameras everywhere at fuel islands, otherwise it might be a good "trend" to start.
One time it was one of MY company's drivers squatting on the fuel island. I actually had my hand on my door latch when I saw him come back out. I was about 2 seconds away from jumping in that truck and moving it, just because I can legally do so.
You noticed that to? I like harassing them when they get back in the truck, I ask them if they got enough to eat and if their little tummy is full, that I wouldn't want them to leave the fuel island hungry or anything. I actually got so p/o'd at a swift driver years ago in orange tx, that I kicked his ass right there at a fuel pump.
Not that I haven't done it myself, it is just that I make sure I won't be holding anybody up and it is not BK or Wendys, it is a cup of coffee and shooting the bull.
