it is picking up the electrical impulses.

try using another hot wire.

Turn your squelch up a little, I can usually squelch it out with just a slight bump up on the knob

Radio Shack (remember that place) used to sell a noise reducer that would take care of noises like that.

You can still buy that stuff on amazon. That’s why they went out of business.

i had seen truck stops sell those as well.

in fact, i still have one i bought some time ago.
