You know I think it's time for people to seriously look at the problems in OUR COUNTRY , fuel, immigration ,NAFTA ,ect.. Let's think about where the REAL BLAME lies, well i hate to tell you but IT'S OUR FAULT. We allow our government to run this county how ever they see fit and they DO NOT run it in the best interest of the American people but they run it for GREED AND POWER.. and we allow them to do this by DOING NOTHING AT ALL. So if you sit back and complain and continue to do nothing to protect your family, home, livelyhood, the company you work for, etc. then who's fault will it be when you loose your job and maybe you company goes under or lay's you off.. It is time that we have a say in what happens to OUR COUNTRY and try to protect ourselves. If you are not willing to do that then you have to except part of the blame when you can no longer afford to survive.. No JOB IS SAFE in ANY INDUSTRY and you could receive that notice tommorrow that you no longer have a job due to job cuts... I'm seeing it happen..If the 100's of 1,000's of people who have lost their jobs would have stood up and fought maybe the fuel issue would be behind us and they could still have a job to go to..Our government has proven that they could care less about our problems, when our country is in a crisis they leave the hill to go on their 5 week vacation..

Americans are getting some of our representatives attention, and the refusal to call congress back into session just verifies our speakers position, and many other representatives, regarding their ignorance to protect American citizens. We should ALL be infuriated with our representatives attitude regarding the suffering of American Citizens. We are in need of leadership, and they do nothing.

A scantily-clad Paris Hilton has hit back at Republican presidential hopeful John McCain after he used the socialite's image to attack his Democratic rival Barack Obama



In her own attack advert, which was paid for by the US comedy website Funny or Die, Hilton derided 71-year-old Mr McCain as being "a wrinkly, white-haired guy" from the "olden days", compared him with Star Wars' Yoda and the Golden Girls, and said he was "old enough to remember when dancing was a sin and beer was served in a bucket".
The 27-year-old model and actress also said she was "not promising change like that other guy", Mr Obama.
The spoof advert comes after Mr McCain compared Mr Obama with Hilton and Britney Spears in an advert last week, suggesting the 47-year-old Illinois senator was no more than a celebrity candidate who was not ready to lead America.
Hilton, who appears in a swimsuit reclining by the side of a pool in her advert, said: "Hey America, I'm Paris Hilton and I'm a celebrity, too.

She mocked the Republican's advert and also proposed her own solution to America's energy crisis, a key issue ahead of November's general election. Hilton said that a "hybrid of both candidates' ideas" to solve the energy crisis would be the best solution for the US.
"Limited offshore drilling, with strict environmental oversight, while creating tax incentives to get Detroit making hybrid and electric cars. Energy crisis solved! I'll see you at the debates.
"Now if you'll excuse me I have to go pick out a vice president, I'm thinking Rihanna. I'll see you at the White House. Oh, and I might paint it pink. I hope that's OK with you guys. Bye."
After blowing a kiss to the camera, she ends: "I'm Paris Hilton, and I approved this message because I think it's totally hot."

I said this a few months back and got blasted pretty hard for it, but it is true.

It starts with voting - We don't research who we are voting for nearly enough. We depend on biased news media, then narrow it down from their information to one republican, and one democrat. Anyone who doesn't follow a party line is quickly dismissed by the media, then forgotten by the citizens.

Then - we don't vote enough. If it isn't the presidential election, turnout is pathetic in just about every other election. Then we complain about who we have in office.

The Government is powered by the people, unfortunately, few people take advantage of making it truly work for the people.
