My personal Favorite BBQ joint on the road for years was Richard's BBQ in Royse City, TX on I30 at exit 77B. Its a Soul Man BBQ now, but the same guy is still running the smoker there. Friendly folks and great BBQ!:licklips:

Where's yours?

I go to Soulman's in Royce City all the time on the way home. My favorite though is the small shack on the service road behind the Petro. I heard him on the CB several times and finally stopped one day. Great food! Lately though it seems as if he's only open a few days a week and not on a real schedule.

Are you talking about the guy behind the Ptro at N Little Rock? His food is great too. As a bonus, you have to walk past the liquor store to get there!

Yup that's the one! If your lucky you can squeeze a truck in his lot, but most of the time better off just parking at Petro

Next time I stop there to get fuel,i'm going to ask the cashier where exactly it is.Ill park the trk walk over there and get something to go.Whats the best thing they have on the menu?

If your headed east you'll see it before the exit. It's on the road there that leads back to the cosmetics company. It's just a little shack with a dirt lot. No sign. The liquor store does have a sign though and it's on the other half of the lot

Ribs, chicken, briskett, its all pretty good there. If you park out at the back end of the horseshoe, NW corner of the lot, there is a path through to the liquor store and night club next door. it is just past the night clubs lot on the service road. Only a short walk. Just listen on 19 and the guy should be advertising.

Is that the one on the other side of the interstate from Love's? Anyway if it is, the old owner won 1st place at several Texas State fairs, his pulled pork was awesome, he said he would age the meat, use a dry rub then roast it as slow as he could over mesquite, that and the homemade bread was well worth the stop

Good deal thank u.I'll deffinately stop there hopefully sometime soon.

I am pretty sure the Loves is a little east of Royse City, around exit 70, but there is also a Soulman there as well if I remember right.

Next time I get home i'm treating my folks to a nice picnic and im going to cook cheeseburgers on the grill with hickory smoked wood chips they are simply delicious.

Steak houses, the one that claims to be the original steak house that is in Kansas City, KS, their steaks were so big, it was like they just led the steer out and laid him down on the table

You ever check out Bodacious on I-20, north of Tyler?
Another good one in that area is McDonalds Cafe Exit 508 near Terrell
