Where is your favorite BBQ joint?

I know of 2 that I can't drive by one is in w. Memphis on the frontage rd east of the pilot I believe, I am not too familiar with the area so the location may be a little off... they have room for a few trucks around the restaurant, and he also has a pick up with a warmer in the back, and sells the stuff in the truck stops over the cb. Another good one is the barbecue lady behind the 75 chrome shop in wildwood FL. I75 exit 329, great brisket sandwiches

Well if it were me i'd be dropping the trl and bobtailing over there.I do all the time.

i tell ya why mine is the best on the planet. see every barbeque officianado realizes their's are the best because it is their own creation.
barbeque'n is an art and i love it! plus i used to have a roadside setup. one of these days perhaps get into the competition ring.....

if your ever in olive branch,ms theres a place called the BBQ PIT excellent ribs and BBQ sandwiches and its cheap he runs a 5 dollar sandwich plate and you get alot for your money

My house ever since we bought our smoker.. my southern Arkansan man can BBQ/Smoke me a couple thousand calories right in our back yard...mmmmmmm delicious!

My crew won't eat salmon at restaurants. If salmon is the desired meal, they show up at my house. I don't smoke salmon though, I grill it. On the plate in 15 minutes.

There is a BBQ shack on the East side of Jackson, TN, right across the street from the Love's at I-40 exit #87... They even sell a BBQ bologna sandwich. I've never eaten a BBQ bologna sandwich.

Maybe someone knows this place. It was a barbecue place and I had the brisket. It was the most amazing meat I have ever had in my life. It was like eating soft chocolate. It was down right decedent.

I'll try and describe and maybe someone knows where it was.

It was a secondary road in either Texas or Oklahoma. It was a private truckstop. Small. More like a gas station. It was at an intersection. The truckstop shared the same tar as a small one story bank like maybe a credit union. The barbecue place also shared the same tar. You walked out of the truckstop store and the bank was in front on the right. The barbecue place was in front on the left.

They had a smoker outside. When you went inside you stood in front of the cash register and told them what you wanted. Brisket, pork, beans, coleslaw and other stuff. The tables were like big picnic tables with bench seats.

I got a mix of pork and brisket but the brisket was the most amazing. If I ever find this place again I'm going to eat nothing but that brisket until I puke. It was that good.

So, anyone have a clue????

Forget that place. I'm not sure where it is. Check out Woody's in Centerville, TX at the intersection of I-45 and Texas 7. This is the best BBQ I have ever had. There is big truck parking in the back. I make it a point to stop there whenever in the area, sometime I drive out of my way to stop there. They close at 2000.

Got excited for a second. I pulled up Google Maps and got a street view and almost thought that was the place.

It could be, they have two stores on either side of the Interstate. The one on the West side may have a Bank in front of it. I always stop at the one on the East side. The one on the West has big truck fueling the East side does not. Your description is very close to their operation on the East side. They have a lot of jerky if that rings a bell.

OK, but my point is that I think this is the best BBQ place in Texas, a state known for BBQ. Drop by if you are running between Houston and Dallas or Austin and Tyler. It is right on I-45 and not far off US 79.

I just remembered there's a good BBQ place called Baldy's in Lakeville, MN in the strip mall behind (east of) that little truck stop.
I-35 exit 81. Even their friggin' FRIES are the best ever. And there's like 3 or 4 different types of BBQ sauce on each table.
