Where is Mike? Where is he going? Don't ask him, he's probably lost.

Yeah I have to tell myself to keep at it. Instead of cutting out early on Friday or whatever.

It's easy to be like "oh I only need to make $XXXX and I already did so I'm good."
I do that on Sunday when I end my week.

Some guys complain they don't get a "full days work" on their end of week.

The only thing I want to do is to...get this...end my week.

Goodyear, AZ. Again. Unloaded dog food, again.

But this time, I get to do the 5mph shuffle over to the other side of the building and reload dog food.

Headed to? Chehalis, WA.

Since I won the bid on this load this morning, I’ve been trying to remember the last time I ran up interstate 5 north of Sacramento. I’m pretty sure I have, but I’m guessing it has to be well over 20 years since I have. Then again, maybe I haven’t.

Been to Washington and Oregon plenty of times in the past, just not sure if I’ve been there via California, or been to California via Oregon.

Oh well, at least it looks to be flat land the entire way.

I did Siskiyou pass in a loaded Mackomatic tanker twice having never seen it.

Parking along 5 anywhere between Wheeler Ridge and Jubitz was not an issue at any time. Seriously. I was as surprised as anyone.

You'll survive.

Where are you delivering in Chehalis? Walmart just opened a transportation office there but I don't think they take freight. It's just a truck yard.

Real estate prices stopped my ideas of transferring right in their tracks.

Back to work tomorrow I guess. Tossed out a bid on a load to Charlotte and it was accepted, so now I must work I guess. Probably work through New Years so I can take off the following week for gymnastics meet #3. Lots of meets from that point over the next few weeks, so little time for driving for a while.

Looks like I’m giving CH Robinson another try. They were the 2nd broker I signed up with after TQL and since I hadn’t hauled a load with then since 2017, I was no longer in their system until about a month ago when I got set back up.

Finally ended up booking a load through them. Sort of did it via the app, but had to call do to appointment for the receiver.

One thing I quickly realized, the app pays better than what they will offer when you call them. So, be sure to have the app and check to see if a rate is posted before calling.

Got a load from SC to Nixa, MO. Piece of equipment, and also 9 pallets that they are adding to the load. Getting this after multiple loads crashed and burned on me between yesterday afternoon and this morning.

Kind of glad the last load fell apart, didn’t really feel like hibernating in the truck with -15 temps in Iowa while waiting on a Monday unload. Delivery pushed to Tuesday, and an additional $1200 got denied for the extra day. That was my out, lol.

Always confirm delivery appointments, especially around holidays.

Chicken shit….
It’ll be a heat wave up here this weekend.

I was coming, but it was yet another load that got pushed all the way to Tuesday. Many of them were loading today to deliver on Wednesday.

Hoping to get this load delivered tomorrow afternoon, rather than waiting til New Years. Haven't made contact with the receiver yet, and it's going to be a pretty busy run to get it there. About 675 miles and not sure how early I will be able to get there. Makes for a fun day at least.
