Where Are You Parked Tonight? Check-In Thread

Today was a Mario Brothers day.

Started off with a 10 mile run. The wife, not me. I walked some with the youngest after getting her some ice cream.

Shocked that the wife went through with that run a day after the first COVID vaccine. The vaccine is hitting her much harder than me so far. The run didn’t help, but she is dead set on a marathon in November, and I have to run a 5k.

Grilled burgers this afternoon, and they were awesome. I should have been a chef......

After burgers, it was Mario time. We are stuck in world 8 at the very end. On the Wii.

Thought about ordering the Nintendo Switch today, but looks like a new one is coming out this year, so waiting on that one.

It’s crazy. We bought the Wii back when they were new. Played it for a while before moving up here to Nortwest Arkansas, mostly playing the Let’s Dance game. I found an adapter online that makes it work with a new TV and we have been playing it constantly since.

I have an Atari 🤓

The "NES" was way better than Atari.

Yeah Atari had afew decent games but most were just dots and beeps.

That said Atari 2600 was cutting edge for it's time and in it's later run they figured out how to add chips into the cartriges themselves to improve sound and graphics somewhat.

I have one of those too. And a SNES and somewhere in a plastic bin in the barn is my mom's Wii.

I still have a Sega Genesis and the Original Sony PlayStation somewhere in the basement or attic.

Probably be worth some cash today to collectors.
I never had a Sega.

For some reason Sega was like the betamax platform. We made fun of the kids who had a Sega.

I grew up with a bunch of assholes.

I was just at one of those assholes' house yesterday. We got drunk. 😁

Forget the Shower I ain't waiting 20 minutes for em to clean afew out.

Working on 5/6 days now but I'm just in the truck so who cares I mean do I really make a stink if nobody is there to smell me.

Time to do a pretrip...

That means set the Elogs "On-Duty" light anther cigarrette, finish rest of this coffee , put my trailer number in and get going

Just woke up from my nap east of the canyon.

Chug some Mtn Dew and off to Salt Lake to drop this trailer and grab my next one to Stockon California.

Just leaving Elko .

Earlier a cattle truck was in fuel line and all the cows were moo-ing.

Still had about 90 minutes left on my ten.

So I crawled back into bed.

Now I been here almost 14 hours

I've got a Colorado Springs pre-loaded, and another nine car right after it do the other Springs dealer.
Another round of snow due in late this afternoon, hopefully it holds off until I can get my tomorrow load preloaded

Wife and kids were concerned whether there would be any snow left in Colorado two weeks from now when we go there. I think it's safe to say there will still be plenty of snow! LOL

Still sitting here at the house, waiting to load in Joplin this afternoon, headed for Tracy, CA. Unload Friday morning, then got a reload in Los Banos taking me back to Fort Worth for Monday. Might hang around Texas long enough to find a reload somewhat close to the house, or I might start my mini vacation early and just deadhead the 300 to the house.

We got 6 in down in Denver here Thursday night Friday morning, and you can't even tell it's snowed. But the mountains are well covered. Pretty much anything above 10,000 feet is solid white right now

Taking a nap somewhere past the ag check station and scalehouse.

No hurry doesn't deliver till 10 pm and my next one doesn't pick up until tommorow afternoon. 😡

Sitting at the lodi fly j and about 9 or so head down to Lathrop.

Afterwards probably just park on the street like I did last time because all the Truckstops be packed full by then.

I called dispatch and she said sometimes Delmonte is good about loading early but I ain't holding my breath.

Stroud, OK. Service plaza on the turnpike. Late start to the day, and no desire to drive late. Be gone from here around 5:30, early enough to miss most of the stupid traffic in OKC tomorrow morning.

So you're running 40 across to Bakersfield and up.

We never would have crossed paths anyways.

Sitting afew buildings down from my delivery on the street.

No Parking signs posted everywhere but must be 50 / 100 trucks lined up and this area is an Industrial Park so obviously it's unenforced or there wouldn't be so many trucks parked here and I often see this throughout California.

There's a Fly J maybe 5/6 miles from here according to Truckstop guide so maybe in afew hours or so I'll personal conveyance up there and the parking lot should be emptied out some by then.
