Your best bet is to stay away from a large carrier and look for a smaller company or LTL company paying per mile.

LTL? stay away from them right now also. They're just as slow as everybody else. Foodservice , beer/soda delivery , and trash is what i reccommend to look into. Alot of the smaller delivery places (ex. better brands) will train or hire with minimul exp.

I'm unhireable by any large carriers untill Dec,2010.But if you get hired by any carrier at this point,I say TAKE IT.Beggers can't be choosers.Small companies will take me.Which is fine with me,i'd rather drive for small companies.They are more laid back and give you respect.Finally i'll be heading out tomorrow and CANNOT WAIT.

Orion, I am only partly kidding with the "boned"comment.

no hes not kidding about gettin boned at stevens. a little advice if you go there.......... pull your pants and underwear down around your ankles.......spread your feet shoulder width apart..... bend forward at the waist.....you have just formed a ninty degree angle........reach down with both hands and grab your ankles........now you have formed a right triangle........bend your knees slightly......grit your teeth and roll your eyes back.....and prepare to feel the fury!
