We need a "thing"

I thought more about this article and it made me think that we need something to identify us as members of this community.

Something you hang on the truck, or maybe simply a decal that you can stick on the truck. The Marine in me would want it to be placed in the same location (as well as possible) on each truck.

I thought about the trailer, but that wouldn't work with company equipment.

What would be a good idea? This wouldn't be something you buy like many websites do, but something that I could send out to established and productive members of the forum. If you have been here through the purges that have taken place after so many boat people arrivals, you are likely part of this group.

Maybe a decal with a website logo? (After a new catchy logo was created, of course).

And I would like to expand on this once it got started, with affordable t-shirts and such.

I am brainstorming here, but also serious about doing something of this nature. Please throw out some ideas that will help us move forward with this.

Yeah, every time I deal with a large number of members being gone from the forum, it is very sore for me. I think it is pathetic how people can't coexist for so many different reasons these days. I think it is pathetic how this hampers growth on a traditional forum these days, especially when it is so difficult to keep a place like this surviving in the ERA of Facebook and so many other newer social media platforms.

So, like I said, let's just move forward, rather than bringing up the past. It's hard enough already to keep the doors open at a place like this.

it is clipped onto my drivers side sun visor.

given to me by a family member.

I was thinking maybe a window decal that can be moved from truck to truck made of the clingy plastic.
Any type of external magnetic item would require a steel cab or door like you say, but I swear my cab is steel because it sure is a shit magnet.

You'd have that problem solved by now if you didn't use all the black tape to make steering wheel covers.

There is enough metal in my 2020 cascadia in the doors and jockey box doors that I have stuck magnet decals to them. Just have to put them where the hinges are inside of the door or where othe metal is
