Vaping like a skinny jeans wearing, man bun sporting, beard having, murse carrying hipster tool.

But hats off to those who are struggling to get off cigarettes, I do hope Vaping, the patch, gums, medicines or whatever do help.
Absolutely, but the FDA has fallen down on their duty to make sure this stuff is safe, thus, the controversy and, perhaps the hospitalizations. That's my only point.

I’d say that smoking has diminished more because people are aware of the risks. Add taxes and local laws about where and when, health insurance programs that won’t cover you at all, and so on.

In the 1950s 4 out of 5 doctors preferred Camel cigarettes.

Smoking had a green light to completely LIE to its customer base.

Vaping is in facts safer alternative, but is now being targeted just as fiercely, and with non sensical knee jerk crap by politicians who want to remain relevant.

Huge difference.

Since there have been NO, that's ZERO scientific test on whatever it is you're inhaling, how can you say that dude?
How could four ingredients turn into over 6000 chemicals just by being atomized for a second or two?

Common sense is how.

Also, the UK has a lot more studies on this than we do.

Don't forget heated to high temperature. Heat tin, lead and copper together, and you have an alloyed mixture that is an electronic solder joint. The final alloy near the copper surface is a mixture of the three metals, not quite the same as the original components. A poor example, but adequate. That heat is enough to break weak molecular bonds... cooling in the presence of other substances allows different final configurations.

Common sense? "Common sense" medicines, before the 1930s law authorizing the FDA and mandating testing of foods and drugs, had people swallowing substances like arsenic and radium as "safe."

Sure did.

This kinda reminds me of when smokeless chewing tobacco first came out.

Remember, it was considered a safer alternative to cigs.

I still remember the commercials of the athletes "just a pinch between your gums"
Who was that?

And we all remember seeing the baseball players spitting away in the dugouts batters box everywhere.

Of course back then they also did not realize all the harmful affects of the stuff.

Or should I say snuff.

Because of atoms and molecules and squiggly lines on a chalkboard and other boring things that made it easy to fall asleep in school.

Snuff is a misnomer.

And the thing is, if used in moderation, and contained, such as in those pouches, this is also safer than smoking.

Yes,

I've just skimmed many of the post on this thread and I see your totally into this Vaping. You are obviously
aware of the unknowns, pros and cons and have decided I think rightfully that it beats cigs any day.

I will just wish you good luck and good health down the line with this vaping.

Not to scare you in the least but I would be remiss if I did not share with you that we just lost two employees
who did have other health issues, I knew both of them well, one had a mild stroke, he was a pretty heavy chain Vapor, the other one developed an aggressive cancer and a few months later they both were gone.

That’s unfortunate, and not the first time I’ve heard such things.

However in every story I’ve heard and every article I’ve read there are never any specifics beyond the term “vaping” that I’ve heard.

What products were they using? Were they from specialty shops or the stuff you buy in gas stations? Did they have other health issues? A genetic propensity toward the conditions they developed?

Millions of other considerations that make an outright ban a terrible idea...

Who said 6000? It was probably an exaggeration. :dunno:

That same truth.com website which posted that puppet video you posted.

Arsenic and rat poison among them.

To be fair they’re probably counting the chemicals all the way back to when the tobacco field was even fertilized.

Wonder if that includes the gopher poop?

:confused-96:

I have skimmed through most of it too. I vaped, I know many that still vape with no problems.

IMO there are too many variables, Like the juice source and make-up. Plus many of these youts tend to modify their vaping units to high temps. How high is too high?

For most everyone I know that uses a vape as way to kick the nicotine habit have done very well using it. Dare I say better than a product like Nicorette.

I will never understand vaping solely for cotton candy flavour or any douche cloud competition.

From what I have heard it is the youts that have had issues. I know the hospitals are now required to report on the medical facts of those admitted for vaping related issues, so maybe, we wait for the facts and medical reports to come out.
