Anyone here vape?

I started back in January. One of the escorts that used to work here sold me on it after a period of time.

Late last summer I started smoking again on bridge beam jobs as a crutch for stress and aggravation, and again became addicted to nicotine. I'd chew nicotine gum at home to keep from totally blowing my top on my kids. Smoking itself I can do without, but the physical addiction to nicotine grabbed hold these last few times pretty bad, and I could never seem to get the 72-96 hours needed alone to just yell at the steering wheel and wean myself off. I used to do that on California trips.

Anyway, I've gotten into this vaping thing as a substitute habit, as well as using those little floss picks 900 times a day.

For some this is a smoking cessation thing, but I have no intention of stopping vaping, and I've weaned myself down to .3mg of nicotine, so I could probably go to 0mg, but I'm content at .3mg.

A nephew of mine called my box mod a "douche flute"...so I'm aware of the stigma. But have you ever actually tried driving a truck? Holy crap the boredom can kill you, so it gives you something to do while driving too.

The guy who got me into this GAVE ME an $80.00 IPV3 Li mod, with a TFV4 tank, extra coils, three sets of batteries and some juice to start. I meant to throw some cash his way, but he left and went to CDL school. I usually vape at about 90 watts.

For juices I try to aim for higher VG levels, as they seem smoother.

Anyone else?

At first I didn't see myself keeping up with it, with all the maintenance, and batteries and chargers and juices, etc. etc. but vape shops for supplies are everywhere, and a lot of stuff is sold in regular smoke shops also.

The BosselPilot in Grand Island, NE has a vape shop in it, though I try to not go there if there's too many weirdo truck drivers hanging around. It's like the breakfast counter used to be in the restaurant. Avoid buying anything but juice from them, I got totally ripped off for a 2 bay Nitecore charger.

On the way to Vegas I saw a vape shop in Evanston, WY that advertised truck parking, but I didn't go there.

So with that, I think I can actually keep up with this thing, and don't mind doing it. I like it better than smoking, because smoking always made me feel like crap INSTANTLY. Tired, and if I hadn't smoked in a while, as soon as I took a drag I could feel it in my legs and everything.

Oh, NEVER get your juice from a gas station. Vape shops only. There are horror stories, that are true, of people vaping for one week with crap juice, and screwing up their throat.

At 90 watts I rip through batteries and juice pretty quickly, but I like the huge clouds. I blow them right over my head when sitting still and I get a nice cool cloud descending on me, and a nice melon smell all over again.

@Squach213 got me into vaping.

You can all blame him for this thread too.

I'm liking my vaping thing.

My nephew called it my "douche flute".

So now I call it my douche flute.

We had a hired pilot car these last few days in Manitowoc that vaped...but he vapes at like 8 watts. I vape at 90 watts.

@Squach213 vapes at 120 watts, and has an unregulated mod that vapes at....Christ knows what.

So...there's that...

A guy at the old place was expert vape guy.
He mixes his own juice and nicotine.
His truck is like a chemistry lab.

Whats your Nic level?

200 Watts is impressive. As I recall that night in the Crazy Cow you didn't step outside once to smoke, but did take a chew at some point. Copenhagen, if I'm correct, and even that was aat the end of the night after you drank them dry of PBR.

You just played the hell outta the jukebox. Kinda like you do in the music thread here.
I'm still at 3mg nic.

And yes, I've been known to get down and party. Lol

@AK7, I can get you some info on vaping if you ever want to get off the dip.
Thanks,I tried the vape deal, but it didn't do it for me. Plus I don't own any skinny jeans. Lmao

And add to the fact that I've been chewing for 40 years.I really don't see me quitting anytime soon.

Well, if you change your mind, get at me.

I got a good deal. I had someone who was educated in the gig...even if he couldn't steer a trailer so well....

I don't feel like I'm killing myself with every puff, and I don't feel like I'm wrecking my mouth with every chew.

If chew, or smokes were invented yesterday, with the FDA like it is, they'd NEVER make the market. And that's NOT the government being too much. Vaping these days is a smarter alternative but it does take some learning.

Getting past this stigma is the biggest hurdle.

For me, I'm not so tired as I was smoking, I got energy to work like a horse, and this week that's what it takes in Manitowoc.

Think about it man. Seriously.
