I'm not saying its fair, but people are on welfare because they can't take care of themselves and we don't want the children living in boxes under the freeway. Drugs or not does not change that ideal.

They weren't kicked off. They simply refused to submit to drug testing, which was part of the application for continuance process and the state stopped sending them checks because they didn't reapply to continue benefits.

I was just talking to an old friend of mine tonight. She used to be s social worker at a welfare office for ten years. She said she started because she wanted to help people get on the track to a better life. After 10 years she realized those people don't want help. They want free. She also told me there was a fair amount of fraud. People working and still collecting benefits.
I don't think they see it as taking your money. They just know it comes from the gvt and they think about where or how the gvt gets it.
