Trucker items that make their lives far easier?

Hey all,

I'm not a trucking geardo or anything. Generally speaking, I've never dressed differently from being a lumber jack to a minion in a warehouse - I've always worn tennis shoes and jeans. However, I feel the compulsion to make my life as easy as possible since I will basically live on the road.

So far I've gotten:
1. Timberland pitboss steel toe boots
2. merino wool socks for winter and coolmax socks for summer
3. a bunch of plaid shirts from a thrift store
4. hat
6. nice leather belt
7. watch

I plan to get a complete set of merino wool long underwear, but I figure it'll be cheaper in the summer. What else will make my life easier?

Thanks.

I use Bic Atlantis pens. They're cheap, comfortable, last forever, and write. every. time.

I only pull Dickies 874s over my a**. I will be buried in 874s.

A nice warming lube so when your company or the DOT bend you over.

A case of whiptail just in case somebody comes knocking on your door after you cut in front of them at the fuel island.

Last but not least a peaked and tuned cb radio with echo board and roger beep.
