Echo Global Logistics acquires Raytrans Distribution Services
Chicago-based Echo Global Logistics acquired Raytrans Distribution Services in a combination the companies say will merge size with technology.
“Echo will benefit from Raytrans’ focus and additional scale, while the Raytrans operation will gain from Echo’s technology and mode diversification,” said Doug Waggoner, CEO Echo Global Logistics.
Effective immediately, the companies said, Raytrans Distribution Services, which specializes in flatbed, over-sized, auto-haul and dry van brokerage will begin doing business as Echo Global Logistics.
Echo specializes in transportation management outsourcing to help customers reduce their transportation spend.
