This is why you run legal all of the time.

Good deal, just sucks they couldn't get it right the first time.
yeah. I had quite a list of things for them to do as well outside of the insurance repair.

Oil change, intermittent fan issue, added insulation to the walls they opened up for the insurance repairs.

charged me $40 to install a wall and 1/2 of this stuff. I was in Stuart IA on Monday night and I was thinking the "draft" off the wall by my head wasn't there anymore. When I checked the left wall VS the right wall, there was about a 5 degree temp difference between the two walls.

Got the truck back tonight.

The one issue that was related to the actual accident were adjusted and corrected to satisfaction.

as to the rest of it.

I had them replace the last two original fuel lines when they replaced the damaged tank from the accident. Those two lines were rubbing on the two air lines for the transmission so those lines were replaced as well. My sluggish splitter is no longer sluggish.

I was having an issue with the engine fan randomly coming on. This was an issue now for me since last summer when I came back after the heart attack. It wasn't easy to come by. In the end, it was the fan control solenoid. They did a good inspection on the rest of the sensors and wiring harness too as a result. No other faults found.

and they did an oil change since it was already in the shop.

These are the guys who did the work....

And yes, I would recommend them

I took the rest of this week off.

I have another project I'm completing right now.

All this time off screwed me up so bad, I went and bought a second truck and hired a driver.

:scared:

So one grabber wasn't enough?

I'm sure having an employee driving your 2nd will do wonders for your stress levels!

Make sure you give him that "facilities app".

And maybe some Febreze...........

There is no fatality accident I have ever responded to that I do not question what "could have been," especially those in which the deceased was still breathing when I arrived. "You can't save 'em all" is not an adequate sentiment.

There are a few incidents that stick in my mind to this day and, in some cases, they were 15 and more years ago. I cannot explain how I've been able to move on from the "could'a-should'as." I just don't know how I did it. I just...did. For the most part.

In all my years as a Hospital Corpsman in the Navy and as a paramedic, I've never played the "woulda coulda shoulda" game. Maybe I'm wired different, but as long as I knew I did what I was supposed to do to the best of my abilities and I didn't contribute to a death either by negligence, incompetence or plain old stupidity, I never really had a second thought about it. I figure it will be the same if I'm involved in a fatality accident on the road. If it's not my fault and I know I did everything I was able to avoid the accident, I don't think I'll lose a minute's sleep.

Spending time stressing over things beyond your control is what puts you in an early grave. At some point you have to accept that some things are in the hands of someone higher up than you and give it up to Him, whether it be God, karma, predestination or any other belief system you happen to follow.

@mndriver I hope you've been able to move on and get past this accident.

Suggestion.....

Book only 2 truckload jobs and then let him run ahead of you.... kinda like having a "scout".

Just so's you don't do like a guy I used to know. After a particularly nasty ice storm he had his rig parked at home by his shop. His driver was coming into town so he told him "Bring the rig over here and we'll do some maintenance until the roads get better". The driver came into the yard, lost control and plowed into his parked truck head on. Major damage to both. Don't remember how it got settled but it sure took awhile.

Man dead after collision with semi-truck near Ashton - East Idaho News

Funny how memories come back.

Been home since Tuesday. Wife called Sunday telling me her husband wrapped himself around a telephone pole. BAC .365. just a little lit

Last night she calls be in years begging me to go get our daughter. She's at work and her husband came home from the hospital Thursday. Started pushing her around and she left the house for the gas station next door.

Turns out he was drunk again. Cops went after I got my daughter picked up only to have the exwife call on him for domestic against her now. BAC this time was .116.

Really would like a quiet Christmas.

Is this an ex-wife or an ex-husband?
