@Snowblind I'm puttin' on my big boy trucker pants tomorrow. Broker called me with a load that delivers in Medina, which is like 45 minutes from home. She called because she saw where I lived and correctly thought I might want to get home for the weekend. The load kinda sucks on pay but whatever, it's a ticket home. Picks up tomorrow and delivers Monday. Asked her if I could deliver straight through tomorrow and she literally dropped the phone "well, it picks up FCFS at 8am, it would have to be there by 3pm although if you call them ahead of time they'll take you til 4". Called the shipper and they said I could be there as early as 6. Supposedly my load is already staged and it's only nine pieces, and it's light. If I don't get hosed on either end, I'll make it home tomorrow, finally. Gonna have to run hard to conserve time but this is gonna be a fun run. Broker doesn't have a drop of faith that I'll make it. Challenge accepted, game on. Gonna be thinking about this guy tomorrow

I'll be pushing it with ya, 6:25 left on my 70 and 385 miles to get to the yard and home... I hope.

This Washington run was scenic and overall I'm glad I took it but it's time for this one to be over.

Go driver go. So I asked for a pickup number last night, was told I didn't need one. Surprise, surprise. I needed one. Don't know who's worse, brokers or our load agents.

Well y'all, lemme tell you about my day. Best day I've ever had trucking. When I got checked in and docked this morning, I was off duty for 12 minutes before I got the green light. 12! After grabbing my paperwork and seal and checking out I still had 10 minutes to sit waiting to finish a 30. When I got to the final and got docked the guys inside stopped what they were doing and jumped on my trailer immediately. They had me done in about 25 or so. Holy shit man, that's nuts. Twice in one day?? Oh, but it gets better yet. On the way to my final, one of my favorite brokers called. She was following my truck online and called to see if I was looking for another load, and indeed I was. Told her I could grab a load but it would have to be close because I wasn't sure how the end of my load would go and I really wanted to make it home to see Mrs Junkie and do a 34. So she found a load 35 miles away paying $4.25/mile and delivering Monday. Perfect. I resigned myself to the idea that I wasn't getting home tonight, I'd run out of time. But, nope. Got there, checked in, and was docked in about 20 minutes. Loaded in about 25. Three times in one day??? I didn't even get into my 14!



So you're probably saying to yourself "that guy deserves a beer." As my buddy Larry would say, " I'm on it doggone it" LOL Cheers from Casa Junkie, hope y'all have a fantastic weekend!

It's hilarious you mentioned a lottery ticket... before we went out I stopped and bought a couple tickets. I was joking with her that there's never gonna be a better day to do it! Not gonna let the sun go down without trying to cash in on a lucky day. Still haven't checked the numbers, so I don't know if I'm rich yet

I love where I live because I'm far enough away from the city to have deer in my yard, and this area attracts some very respectable neighbors. God I love this place.
