Stupidity and ignorance, why..??

Ah, your doing alright, one would "think" that is the law judging by how those buttheads pretend to merge. An old friend of mine, who's granddaughter recently went to drivers training, told me she said the so-called instructor told the class what you thought. No wonder there are so many poor drivers.:coocoo:

About the speed thing. I always wondered what maroon wrote the wordage for the sign on the 401 as you leave Windsor. It says, "100kph=60mph" WRONG!!! It's 62 mph, a kilometre is .62 of a mile, soooo, well, do the math.
An easy way to convert kph to mph is to multiply by 6, divide by 10, and add 1.2, it'll get ya there everytime. With a little practice, you'll learn how do it rather quickly in your head.

Now why would I go through all that mental gymnastics when I can switch my GPS over to kilometers?

Which engine are they supposedly using for that great economy? I wouldn't expect 12 bob-tailing and certainly not with any load.

7-8 is one thing, but with our current fuel types and emission standards, better will be rare. I could almost see 10, but not 12. The difference between America and Europe is immense. They usually don't run trucks as big as we do, based on photos I've seen over the past several yrs and from what I saw more than 20yrs ago when I visited several European countries. Even if the loads were as large and heavy, I doubt they use ULSD in that part of the world, or care to waste the time and money to go that route.

Perhaps the 12pg is IN Europe??? Maybe that's gpK... That could make some sense.

Ever heard of the autobahn? That's in Europe(Germany).

PS If 55mph is 88kph, how is 90kph only 54mph? :eek2: .... 54mph = 87kph(almost exactly).

Apparently the law was changed since you last looked, but I've noted this since at least around 1990, the 1st time I had to drive in Meeech again... From the actual authority on Michigan driving laws... I suspect, anyway, as it is their government website... http://www.michigan.gov/documents/SOS_WEDMK_8_Basic_Skills_Laws_and_Safety_158270_7.pdf If you wanna save time, simply scroll down to page 94... paragraph 3: 'Choose a safe space to enter and then merge into traffic. Traffic on the freeway has the right-of-way. Do not count on other drivers to let you in.'
they didn't say wich engine rob they just said the 2012. i honestly don't think the mpg will be that great or any better than what they are now. i was getting 7.2 mpg in a 780 with the isx. i realy just think all they did was proove that they could add lol. i'll belive it when i personaly see it doing 75 mpg on the freeway under a full load

it said it's just gonna improve the mpg's by 3 percent but the driveability will be better as well

There was talk a couple years ago about the new Cascadias with the 15 liter Detroit getting some kind of really good MPGs or something. So the head honcho of my company leased two of them for 6 months.

According to one of the guys driving one, it was ok on power, about the same as our Cummins trucks, wasn't terrible on fuel economy but not as good as our Cummins, but the thing that really bugged him the most was the jake brake was worthless. All it did was make the truck slightly louder.

When I worked for swift my first truck got averaged about 7.5 (until they put on recaps, then it got 6.5). My second truck got 8.5, and on one trip got 9.5 (when the fuel filter clogged up). But back then the trucks were governed to 57mph and geared to take advantage of that. I think 10+ is possible in Europe with their lighter cab-overs, lower HP, and lower speed limits.

Wow.... So many angry and bitter people here. Being angry makes you act ignorant.
here, have some of these, you'll feel better...
