Very true! That salt just dries out and cracks the skin. One guy recommended Working hands skin cream.
I have some here because in the winter, cranking landing gear 60 times a day is kinda the same with slush and road salt.

We got 2 of them. One gutless one automatic. Between them I think there's about half a decent truck. Enough other things are right to look the other way though.

Running Michigan today, had a reefer op shadow me. For more than 3 hours. I’d pull out to pass settle back in there he is. Right on my ass. Pull out pass pull back in. Still there. Pull out pass pull back in. Still there.
3 hours....
I didn’t have one single big truck pass me for 3 solid hours yet this guy was on my tail. I keyed up but I don’t think he had his ears on.
At least he knew his place, running respectfully behind me. I hate that when lower class drivers think they can take front door.
Not my first choice for a back door but I’ll take it. If he had a radio on it would’ve been better.

My newbie butt went straight to O/O and skipped Prime.Youtube saved me from that mistake.The sad part was the guy next to me went to their school and failed his written. I youtube cdl watched youtube for two hrs and aced the basic, combo,air and tanker tests.I didn’t even make fun of reefer pullers or Prime drivers. You should be proud of me
