Pecking order? Did someone not graduate from puberty?

If all y'all flatheaders want ta get all dirty an' sweaty, and pretend that somehow countin' yer chains makes ya special, then go for it. Whatever lets you pretend that you're important in the scheme of things so your ego doesn't get deflated.

Sometime ago, one of the mods - @Injun - posted that the forum owner wanted an environment that allowed persons in all segments of the industry to feel welcome posting here. If said forum owner wants his investment to turn into the juvenile environment coddled over on TTR, then have at it. You can find as many prepubescent flatbedders as you like, and allow them to indulge in whatever fantasy of superiority due to what's hooked onto their fifth wheel.

Anything else you'd like to bring up @Sinister?

Thanks for giving me your permission to bring stuff up.

I’ll just add, read the thread - all of it - again.

I picked up a load of salt once in BF Egypt, Kansas.

Water softener salt in 50 lb bags on pallets, shrink wrapped.

Most of the trucks there were vans.

After loading I pulled up beside a flatbed to close the doors.

He had put like 40 straps over his load and was unrolling a huge tarp. And there was a pile of what must've been 50 rubber tarp straps all tangled up on the ground beside the trailer.

I walked back, closed the doors and as I was walking back to the cab I saw he was giving me the evil eye.

Work smarter, not harder. :biglaugh:
I never understood why they send crap like that on flatbeds in the first place. There are a lot of things in bags on skids that fall in this category

I didn’t start the thread don’t jump on me for agreeing with @Sinister

Rooster cruisers
Bullhaulers
Hoppers
Open deck
Tankers

Dry van

Bed buggers

Container yankers

Refrigerated van

I pulled end dumps for years, and then dry vans
for most of this year it is power only pulling somebodys elses reefers
I raise the roll up door about a foot to look in when I get it,I take it to location,I drop and hook and walk back and raise another roll up door a foot or so and shine my light in there to make sure cargo is strapped, and seal it
take it back to receiver and drop it and go home

dangit,what a hard nights work

pays good

work is easy

it don`t matter what I pull,I am just as good as the next guy

and he is just as good as me

to me flatbedding is a losers game because around here, you end up tarping it for free,in the hot summer sun or freezing winter.I wouldn`t touch it with a ten foot pole. For me I got the best thing going

You said it.

@mndriver - being that you're a mod, I can't fully respond to that dig. Nice way to hide behind the rules.
