So you want to run in deer country......

Probably saved the truck.

Hood, cooling pack, and everything on the front of the motor.

My neighbor just had your work done and for the grill, left headlight, and left fender it was $12,000. Granted that was on a peterbilt 379.

Part of what hurt me on the century, was a lot of deer repair. That would have been over $7,000.

This thing hit me square in the radiator at 65 miles per hour.

The only damage is the bottom crossbar on the bumper. It just needs to get pulled forward

Steel hood vs pieced together prepainted fiberglass. I’m thinking grill, cooling package, left fender and headlamp assembly and touch up glass around the grill. 6-8 g’s depending on the shop and how bad they rape on parts.

Your precious red oval would have needed a complete hood as well hitting a full bodied deer square in the grill at 65 mph.

There's no way around any vehicle without a monster bumper would have been going to a shop on a hook.

The entire cooling pack would have been stuffed into the motor damaging the front cover as well.

Why are you attacking me when I agree with you?

Because you're making it sound like that red oval would have little damage compared to fiberglass.

Repairing the hood, replacing the bumper would have cost $8,000 on the century.

there is no way the hood, cooling pack or front of this motor would have been intact that I smoke that deer without this bumper.

If there would have been less than $15,000 damage I would have been surprised.

As it was there was more hidden damage on the century than people gave it credit.

Even the radiator was destroyed on that one. That part alone is $900.

No I was saying 12k in damage was cuz red oval. Your engineer degree is showing.

I understand what kind of damage a deer can do. With the exception of the fiberglass work. I have done estimates and a lot of component replacements on a lot of them. Don’t over think when someone is backing up you claims. Just cuz I like Pete doesn’t mean I’m attacking you.
