I decided to download Skype and I'm glad I did, it's better than MSN, AIM, and Yahoo. You can IM people and talk to them using a mic which is free of charge. It doesn't slow my laptop down like AIM, MSN, and Yahoo does. I'm happy with it and it's user friendly. Even a caveman can use it!

Skype?never heard of it it doesnt even sound like a word but i guess it is well glad u enjoy it i dont get all the computer luxeries thru my cell

I never heard of it either until recently. It's a new IM service and like I said I recommend it. I used Yahoo messenger for the longest time until the latest version slowed my laptop down dramatically so I dumped yahoo and figure I'd try Skype. With Skype you can call people's phone from this IM service but they charge a small fee to do so which I think is cool, the being able to call people's phone not the fee. I forgot Skype is owned by Ebay.

I have skype also..I make regular phone calls on it as well. I pay $16.00 a year for unlimited calling on up to 50 calls per day...US and Canada...

LOL..I just went back and looked..they must have been running a special or raised their prices...smae package I have now would cost 35.00+ a year now for unlimited calls to landline in US and Canada..

I have had it for about 6 months now...it works pretty well..

The other service you can get from them is SkypeIn with a local phone number.So your family can call you without long distance fees.
