Shows you should watch, because I said so.

Usually that thread is right near this one. Because I start threads worth reading dammit.

Big Bang Theory is the unfunniest thing since the history of EVER.

I just watched the season finale of season 2 of Game of Thrones, and all I can say is AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME...

Holy CRAP was that awesome. CANT WAIT for season 3! The only decent Lannister got royally (ha ha...I made a funny) screwed, Theon Greyjoy might also be totally screwed, Danaerys Targaryen is going to badass pretty soon, the Starks have one HELL of a long uphill climb, and Robb Stark better get his hear out of his ass and get back home to start cleanup...and ZOMBIES!!!! Holy freakin awesome.

Also, BYP held me down and made me watch something made in...get this....CANADA. I guess they have TV there too.

It's a show called Continuum, and it's a sci-fi cop action drama thing. It's pretty cool. I'm going to watch episode 2 now.
\

How did I know you would like the zombies showing up at the end of that GoT episode? Cause I'm a smart mudder fugger, that's how.

Continuum episode 2 was even better than the first I thought. Damn I'm glad I found that show.

Never did get to watch it tonight. Got to posting here instead, and watched a Family Guy or two. The Cleveland Show is failing, and they've mentioned it a few times the last few episodes. It's pretty funny that they can laugh at themselves like that.

Spinoffs usually fail. Not all, but most.

Right now I'm watching one of those repo shows. It's the one with the big giant, nasty-looking fatass blonde woman who dresses to make herself look as nasty as possible.

It's just as scripted as any other so-called "reality" show, but in this one I guess they were trying to repo two Freightshaker Columbia day cabs hooked to intermodal cans. One of them got away, and the other one ended up smashing the repo guy's car by making a left turn and decapitating the car with the side of the trailer.

Priceless.

I'm watching Dallas and I'm not gay.

Dallas? I don't think I've EVER watched it. I don't even know what it was about. All I remember was I was a little kid when that show was on, and when my mom would watch it I'd either whine about wanting to put on cartoons instead, or I'd go play with my matchbox cars.

Okay, let me put in my two cents here.

Because of cable and satellite television has rescued some old stuff.

The Jack Benny Program is hilarious.
Burns and Allen
Andy Griffin the first five seasons.
Perry Mason. I love it when an innocent person is found not guilty.
Hogan's Heroes. The way WW2 should have been.
Combat
12 O'Clock High.
PBS' Meeting of the Minds.
Ed Sullivan and Carol Burnett

I maybe a bit old.

I always get Carol Burnett & Jaimie Lee Curtis mixed up for some reason.

Breaking Bad

I just finished watching episode 8 of season 5, the final season from what I understand, of Breaking Bad. I have been hooked on this show since day one, and remain so.

The way this episode ended makes me crazy to think I will have to wait until next summer to see the next new episode. I'm not going to give away any spoilers on it, because I think every single one of you needs to watch this show from the beginning and see what good television really looks like. Great writing, great acting, well produced, and some really well written characters with compelling stories, that have come and gone over the course of the show. I wish it was on every week forever, although I realize it would be impossible to maintain such a high quality show for an extended period like that.

It's a shame really that it has to come to an end eventually. I will miss it when it is finally over. If you've never watched it, you should check it out for sure.

That's what I've heard! I'll start up the pirate machine when I turn in...this morning...which I should have done last night...

I have Season 1 of Hell on Wheels that a socialist firend of mine says I should watch, but I think I'm more eagerly awaiting Sons of Anarchy and hpow they're going to kill that story arc which has pretty much completed itself...

I'll second that.
We used to watch it every week, before I pulled the plug on the satellite dish.
I haven't seen the last few seasons, but it was one of the few shows that I watched that never insulted my intelligence, and after spending time watching the Network channels [ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX] you KNOW how easy that is!

Dude...it's about oil drilling (manly) hot chicks (manly), nice freakin cars (manly), Money (manly), and theres lots of beer drinking (manly).

Definetly a soap opera, but not gay.

LOL.

I watched it occasionally when it was actually MADE, in the 7Os, so I DO know what was on it.
Some hot chicks, a few pretty rich boys, and a villain that had a live-in Jeannie on another show [Larry Hagman]........
No need to explain, just bustin' your balls.
I'm sure there are LOTS of straight men that watch soap operas.........:leer:

Pawn Stars, Gold Rush Alaska, Boardwalk Empire, Game of Thrones, True Blood, and of course......Glee.

I think the only medical show I ever really watched was House, and I didn't start watching it until at had already been on the air for years. I did like it a lot though. House gave me new goals to strive for in my pursuit of being a giant assholes to the people that care about me.
