Shows you should watch, because I said so.

GOTHAM

Based on DC Comics Villians, but basically a cop show at this point. The villains are all either in place, or just starting to find themselves (The Joker hasn't even shown up yet) and Bruce Wayne is but a lad who has just now had his parents offed in an alley.

Jim Gordon is but a lowly new detective (not the full blown commissioner he's always been in past storylines) and is one of the most brilliant characters in the show. He wrestles with being a good guy in a sea of corruption constantly, and it's a great character to watch develop.

Harvey Dent is not yet "Two-Face" and still a good guy.

Like I said it's more a cop show, but occasionally takes a leap into comic book land in terms of realism. It's not like watch The Avengers...which is bascially a cartoon but amusing on it's own.

This really is more a down to earth, gritty, monochromatic look at a a very corrupt, rotten to the core Gotham and does a great job of laying out the fantastic task the future Batman has ahead of him. even if you're not a comic nerd, you might like this show.

If you ARE a comic nerd, you'll find yourself looking up stuff as the show happens for a little more depth into things like the Red Hood, the Red Hood Gang, the Falcone Crime Family, the actual origin of The Joker (which has been hinted at in a few different directions so far), and even Alfred Pennyworth's past life as a Special Operations Soldier!

The one hang up I can see is that it's still only in Season 1, and it's frickin 18 episodes long. So I'm thinking it's going to be a 22 episode season.

That's too long. 13 episode seasons is plenty for me ono the few shows I do watch.

Other than that, I recommend you watch this show, even if you're not a comics nerd.
I wanted to watch Gotham, But I wanted to start it from the beginning. Luckily, It is on THE Netflicks, So I can work my way through it all at my own pace.
I am more than sure it is a build up to the BATMAN and then it will get awesome!
I am no comic nerd but,the Batman franchise is one I love.

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if the series ends when Bruce Wayne leaves gotham to go become a ninja...

Thanks...
prink.

I'm almost to the end of episode 4.

I was fixing to read the spoiler when the nephew claimed that he cut her throat...
after the cops spent 8 days searching the residence without finding anything more than the victims car key with Steven's DNA [but not hers].

Both the defendants supposedly have an IQ of around 70.

The kid was interrogated 2 or 3 times [without council] for hours while the cops kept telling him, "That's not what happened. Tell the truth."

If the law turns out to be complicate in this case the death penalty is in order as far as I'm concerned.

Little more to tell than is in that TV series. Like a slug with her DNA pulled out of his garage wall, and his DNA in her car. Saw some of the jury interviews that say the show is leaving out the proof of Avery's guilt.

On a side note. I have issues with saying that people are mentally incompetent to stand trial. If they are raping and killing people I do not give a damn why they are doing it they need put down.

Cops & prosecutors who deliberately set up innocent people need to be locked up & made to serve the exact same sentence as was given to the person they framed, even if it's a death sentence.

I agree.
I was only saying that a 16 year-old kid with an IQ of 70 is easily manipulated.
Like him saying he cut her throat after the cops searched the residence for 8 days without finding any blood.
And I can't believe the cops let that stand with it being such an obvious lie.
They should have coerced him into saying something more believable.

If there was a slug in the wall I'm not there yet.
I'm past the point where they found a slug just laying on the garage floor...
4 months after they spent a week searching without finding anything.
That had the victims DNA on it along with the lab tech's who broke protocol by not tossing the result as inconclusive since it was contaminated.

Even finding the victims car was hinky.
The one volunteer who found the car within a couple of minutes of starting to search just happened to be the only [of dozens] one that the search leader gave a camera to.

If I were on the jury at this point with access to everything I've heard so far I'd have to say not guilty.

Too much hinky crap going on to remove reasonable doubt.
Even the car key.
They didn't find it for three days and then, "Oh, look. What's that lying there in the corner nearly in plain view?"
o_O

And the victims living arrangements.
They never raised an eyebrow that she had a boyfriend plus a [male] roommate.
Hardly typical. And the stuff motives are made of.
In any ordinary situation the cops would have been grilling the hell out of both those guys instead of letting them lead a search party.

Yeah I was just pointing out that the show has left out a lot of evidence the jury saw. I saw a show the other day made a compelling case that 9/11 was actually because the Freemasons built the Statue of Liberty with a 3"plate base and they had to cover up the symbology between the ware lines and the twin.......

Well truthfully I changed channels after they said the second plane people saw fly into the tower was CGI and they showed it too. Right off the Night line recreation.

My favorite conspiracy theory is that burning jet fuel, oxygenated by the wind off the coast that was blowing the smoke near horizontally, wasn't hot enough to weaken high carbon steel to the point of collapsing under the extreme load it was holding. :bonk:

As if no blacksmith has ever melted steel with a bellows & wood fire.

Netflix.

Stranger Things.

It pays homage to everything 80s.

For those of you of the 90s....screw ya.

The intro, the plot, the music, the background music, kids on bikes saving the day...its all there.

Quantico.

Don't watch this thinking it's going to be a replica of FBI training in Quantico, because that would be like thinking a Chinese Buffet is authentic.

Chinese Buffets are not authentic...for those of you who need the extra help.

But the twists and turns are pretty cool.

How did I never hear about this?
Probably not the whole movie (I understand it's supposed to be an hour long with commercials, so probably closer to 40 minutes) but this is so un-PC it's fucking awesome..

I do not watch much TV. I do watch videos of history and documentaries westerns and war, latest discoveries. I like action packed movies. Stay away from those that are to be continued...I like it in the whole content. Especially fond of the drone videos.
