For example, it would need the ability to walk around the house so you can tell it to go get you a beer, and it would need to be able to cook or at least make sandwiches. Make the bed, do the laundry, mop the floors, etc.
And hey, .. with the self-driving cars in the future, if the robot is realistic enough to actually fool people, you could make the thing work a full time job during the day and it'll eventually pay for itself and the self-driving car too.
If it had a realistic face, you could create a fake Hawaiian birth certificate for it & make it apply for a job at the IRS. Seriously, .. no one there would even notice it's a robot.
