Series 60 Fuel Mileage battle.....

I've had trickier places to back into with open deck than with the ice box.

Back around the Kwik Trip in Sauk rapids mn with a load of brick on for the masons from the street blind side. Compared to a box driver who's got a 40 acre parking lot.

Yeah, box drivers always have a 40 acre parking lot. :rolllaugh:

I think you've contracted Flatbed Derangement Syndrome.

And back to "normal"....

5.1 mpg. It'll be interesting to see how the rest of this trip goes. The hard part is behind me for the most part. Some big pulls on 68.

Definitely not light either. 75,000 gross.
Bobcat E85 mini excavator. What's so mini about them is beyond me. They are 20,000 lbs each.

Me neither, but I hate the grades on 68 worse!
Those PA tolls are insane though.
Did Prime pay for the tolls or something?
I'd never run the PA turnpike at all if those tolls came out of my pocket. Unless there was no other practical route to where I'm going.

Nope. Tolls and fuel are the cost of doing business, and I always ran only enough toll road to get the job done. The fuel you don't burn on those grades on 68 are more the enough to cover the toll on whatever section of 76 you run. And you arrive 3 or 4 hours earlier.

76 isn't flat either. It crosses the same mountain range.

Not enough to burn enough extra fuel to offset the ridiculous tolls.

What's it cost to run 5 axles from Ohio to Philly these days?
No idea. I wouldn't run that fucked up excuse of a government rip off that far. New Stanton to Breezewood or Carlisle at most.

4.6 whopping mpg

I did cover 640 miles though today. Considering the ground is had to go through. I'd say that's pretty good.

6.3 mpg today.
Pretty decent one too. 620 miles with an unload, reload. One of the excavator had a dead battery again.

Both loads were over 75,000 gross weight

What with the crummy weather, that ain't too bad. I got a 6.4 mpg, and then jumped to 8.12. about 74,000 off the right weighs.

Don't expect to get the mileage I was at Prime... trailers have duals, so there goes about 0.5+ mpg.
