The trucking industry has a hard enough time retaining young folks in the industry as it is for various reasons, too much time away from home, too much sacrifice for the reward and now it is suggested that the new entrants be paid less? That ain't going to work out to well. There is not even the incentive of making big money with the hidden effort that it takes to make the big money, so why would the youth even waste their time and money to get trained in an occupation that would net them less than minimum wage?
Maybe McDonalds and Burger King outta advertise, Home every night! Family oriented and consistent pay.
