Hey @Injun

You chained up and lost in Washington? I hear it's pretty bad.
I've been dealing with crappy roads all week. They like to wait until somebody wrecks before working them. Washington uses some kind of chemical that turns everything black and feels oily like diesel. Idaho usses scrapers and prayers. Snow came down so heavy a couple of nights, both states just threw their hands up and said, "F'k it. Y'all dumb enough to be out in it, you're on your own." They'd scrape the road and a minute later, you couldn't tell they'd been there.

I've been over lookout & 4th of July passes when they're covered with tan colored snow so I assume they spread sand.
Montana uses sand. Idaho sprays some kind of brine down sometimes and they have gravel/sand piles that I've seen them dig into, but I think it's just to put weight over their drive wheels. They'd rather just push the snow around if they can get away with it.

Washington has been able to clean the roads between the waves of snow storms. Idaho's roads have been a disaster all week. I haven't been to Montana or Oregon.

i hate the liquid salt that is used here. it gets all up into the wiring, gets all over the finish, and sometimes seems to "etch" the glass.

every year, my supervisor has to call out the trailer repair shop to repair the wiring, and Penske too has to re-work the wiring on our tractors..

on my cars alone, it can take a half dozen car washes to be rid of it. it can stain badly.

When I used to run out there they used beet juice in Idaho.

No Idea yall, I just went Christmas shopping in a T-shirt. No Jacket required. Many New Canadians where bundled up in parkas and toques. Come on man it was 14C out.

This is in no way climate change. This is weather! Also, New comers will forever freeze their bells off in winter, if they choose to wear winter wear in spring or fall like conditions.

I'm also shopping.

Had to take Mrs Duck, her daughter, and her daughters boyfriend Fat Albert to the Fox Valley Mall in Aurora IL.

Seriously he looks like Fat Albert, talks like a queer, eats like a starving dog, and he's a nerd. Polite, friendly kid though.

This boy ate 12 taco supremes from Taco Bell in the food court. TWELVE.
:stare1:

We left the mall but now we're in a comic book store.

NERD CENTRAL!

Everybody in here (except Fat Albert) is white but they're playing Spanish Christmas music. Loudly. o_O

You don't have to call me darlin, [Scott] Darling.
You never even call me by my name.

I will hang around as long as you will let me,
I never minded standing in the rain.
