Playing with the new laser toy I bought a few weeks ago. It has a bunch of modes, variable rate of change & it flashes with sound either from its microphone or music that I can send it via Bluetooth.

The purple & blue is cast from hidden LED strips on the back of the desk.

$60 at Spencer in the mall.

If you blow cigarette smoke into the laser beams it looks cool. (first pic)

Brat had something like that. It moves with the music right?
It blinks on/off with music. The patterns change at a variable rate controlled by a knob.

I want to point it at an empty, plain white, unlit billboard at night.

It'll cast as far as any laser pointer but the green is brighter than the red.

When I pointed it out the window at the sod farm's pole barn about 1000 yards away, I could only see the green.

Higher frequency in Green??

Hers would change and vibrate as the beats hit. Turned her room into an 80's light show.

I have tons of crap like this. Blacklights, colored LEDs & neons, strobe lights that I can't use because of Mrs Duck's epilepsy, a mirror ball, fog machine, and this rotating LED projector thing that's almost as cool as the laser thing. I also have enough stereo equipment to be heard from Botswana, all crammed in the closets upstairs. And an audio mixer to tie it all together.

All good stereo stuff too, predating all this sissy 5 point who gives a shit "surround" sound.

One of these days I'm going to turn the loft of the old wood barn into the ultimate man cave. About the only thing stopping me is the cost of covering the entire barn with steel siding to keep the birds, squirrels & stray cats out.

Good thing @Duck isn't any closer to O'hare.

We'd be reading about him in the paper: "Trucker with lasers causes worst airline disaster in 20 years."
No I know better than to point it at aircraft or cars on the highway.

But I do plan on pointing it skyward next time there's a foggy night. The beams won't penetrate very far but it'll look cool from within a few hundred feet.

Saw my first Marmon today. Not sure if it started life as a dump truck or was converted. Driver was in a hurry, but talked to me for a second. Said it had a 500 hp Cat

First,.. I put two pinches of catnip on the floor....

Gave 'em a couple minutes.

Then I turned the laser thing on with the motion speed all the way up, pointed at the floor.

:stare1:

The cats TORE THE F*ING ROOM APART.

They knocked my laptop off the desk, knocked Mrs Duck's coffee mug on the floor, pulled the curtains off one of the windows, scratched my chest after landing on it from somewhere, then finally I was able to get back to turn off the laser toy.

I will not be doing that again.

Mrs. Duck now knows she married to a terrorist of a man....LOL
What next are you going to do for entertainment....LOL

Maybe one of those battlebots instead? Your cats sound rather destructive to turn loose on just a car.
Actually right now one of them is passed out on the bed and the other one is perched on the radiator.

I don't know how that cat can do that. The radiator is so hot I can't hold my hand on it for more than a few seconds but this cat is sitting on it & purring.
